Dick Cheney called it “The Long War!”<\/p>\n

George Bush, Jr. slipped once and called his “war on terror” a Crusade!<\/p>\n

Obama reluctantly pursued the “Global War On Terror” less enthusiastically
\nwith similar deadly results in Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Syria and elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Trump’s promise to avoid foreign entanglements and cease implementing
\nregime change clashes with both his intent to expand the military; the words
\nof his highest Cabinet members; the history of his appointed security officials;
\nand most tellingly, the early actions of his Administration.<\/p>\n

For those not paying attention, America long ago entered a permanent state
\nof war: http:\/\/www.informationclearinghouse.info\/46539.htm<\/a><\/p>\n

Some may point to 9\/11 as an obvious starting point as a tragedy that provided a
\npretext for expanding US kinetic activity focused mainly in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

But that notion ignores our continuous efforts following WWII that constituted a
\nform of Global Manifest Destiny rationalized by American Exceptionalism and
\nthe need for Pax Americana or “full spectrum dominance!”<\/p>\n

Ike’s warning to “avoid foreign entanglements” followed the Korean War and
\npreceded the Viet Nam War……….both key parts of the Cold War between the
\nUS\/NATO forces and the Soviet\/Warsaw Pact Bloc that lasted many decades. <\/p>\n

Instead of peace…..or even a peace dividend…..we’ve created a society that is
\nboth imperial and decadent: a guns and butter world of unending consumerism,
\nentertainment, government surveillance and WAR that I label the Huxwellian
\nWorld of 2017!<\/p>\n

Fukuyama’s End of History has been delayed (or more likely postponed) by the
\nresistance of billions of unimpressed citizens around the globe with different
\nvalues, different religions and very different agendas for their future.

Playing on the Grand Chessboard for control of the planet’s resources and markets,
\nthe US has run up against SCO, BRICS, the Arab Spring, ISIS, BREXIT, BDS,
\nFukushima, rejection of the TPP and a variety of other factors not the least of which
\nis the global financial crisis that was triggered in 2008!

The New World Order described by Daddy Bush 25 years ago which George Soros
\nhas worked so diligently to create is now on full display for those willing to look: https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=67010<\/a><\/p>\n

With the arrival of a new president who came to power on the tide of populist
\nresentment towards the Washington Consensus, it is probably too early to believe
\nhe is doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past.<\/p>\n

Sadly, most indicators of where he is heading imply he will do exactly that! One
\nneed merely listen to the abysmal remarks of UN Ambassador Nikki Haley to see
\nthe likely direction of his Administration:

Trump’s chief spokesperson on the global stage is echoing the same mindless
\nremarks of her predecessor in words that are so ugly and factually dubious that
\nthey belie the hopes of many that they reflect the negotiating strategy of our number
\none deal maker.<\/p>\n

America can and must do better. Here are two suggestions on where we should start:
