\nThey\u2019re out to put a spell on you, President Trump.<\/p>\n

Witches around the world are expected to cast a mass spell at the stroke of midnight Friday \u201cto bind Donald Trump and all those who abet him\u201d \u2014 as Christian groups are urging prayer to combat this \u201cdeclaration of spiritual war.\u201d<\/p>\n

The spell is to be performed \u201con every waning crescent moon until [Trump] is removed from office,\u201d according to a Facebook page dedicated to the paranormal stunt, which involves setting ablaze an \u201cunflattering\u201d picture of the 45th president.<\/p>\n

People performing the ritual will need the snap of Trump, a \u201ctower tarot card,\u201d a \u201ctiny stub of an orange candle,\u201d a \u201cpin or small nail,\u201d and \u201cmatches or lighter,\u201d among other items.<\/p>\n

According to the instructions \u2013 which have circulated across the Internet \u2013 \u201cDonald J. Trump\u201d is to be inscribed on the candle with the nail or pin and practitioners are to recite the 23rd Psalm.<\/p>\n

After lighting a white candle, the spell begins with the words: \u201cHear me, oh spirits\/ Of Water, Earth, Fire, and Air\/ Heavenly hosts\/ Demons of the infernal realms\/ And spirits of the ancestors.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI call upon you\/ To bind\/ Donald J. Trump\/ So that he may fail utterly\/ That he may do no harm\/ To any human soul\/ Nor any tree\/ Animal\/ Rock\/ Stream\/ or Sea,\u201d is to be said when lighting the orange candle.<\/p>\n

Practitioners are then asked to burn Trump\u2019s photo with the orange candle while \u201cloudly\u201d chanting, \u201cSo mote it be!\u201d or Trump\u2019s famed catchphrase, \u201cYou\u2019re fired!\u201d over and over, according to the instructions published this month<\/a> by \u201cmagical thinker\u201d Michael Hughes on Extranewsfeed.com<\/span>.<\/p>\n

At the end of the ritual, demonstrators are to \u201cblow out orange candle, visualizing Trump blowing apart into dust or ash.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hughes wrote on the online post, \u201cThe threat from Trump and his cabal is enormous, not just to individuals, but to the collective body and spirit. Be bold! Say the words with ferocious intensity and feel them!\u201d<\/p>\n

Hughes, an author who writes about the paranormal, insisted to the Huffington Post<\/a> that the spell is not a hex or a curse.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a restraint, not harm,\u201d Hughes said. \u201cI see it as self-defense.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other spell casting rituals are slated to be performed on March 26, April 24, May 23, and June 21.<\/p>\n

But to counter the witches, some Christian groups are calling for \u201ca day of prayer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kevin Ambrose of the Christian Nationalist Alliance said, \u201cThis is a declaration of spiritual war and it requires a response.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs such, the Christian Nationalist Alliance is announcing a Day of Prayer on each of these days. We beseech all Christian soldiers to answer this call to action by reading from Psalm 23,\u201d Ambrose wrote on the organization\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe ask you to join us in praying for the strength of our nation, our elected representatives and for the souls of the lost who would take up Satanic arms against us.\u201d<\/p>\n
