(Warning:<\/strong> This news article contains some details about a pedophile\u2019s urges and may offend some readers.)<\/em><\/p>\n In the wake of a media firestorm over Breitbart writer Milo Yiannopoulos resigning after making highly controversial statements concerning pedophilia, a left-leaning website has reportedly removed all of its articles defending pedophilia.<\/p>\n \u201cIn 2015, Salon published articles by Todd Nickerson, who was at the time defending pedophiles and insisting people shouldn\u2019t treat them like monsters,\u201d Twitchy reported<\/a> Tuesday.<\/p>\n After the news of\u00a0Yiannopoulos\u2019 statements broke, the firebrand columnist lost his $250,000 book deal, was disinvited from the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference and resigned from Breitbart.com.<\/p>\n Yiannopoulos, who is openly gay, was accused of condoning pedophilia by defending \u201ccoming of age relationships\u201d that are against the law. On Tuesday, he accused the mainstream media and his political enemies of launching a \u201cpolitically motivated witch hunt\u201d against him.<\/p>\n In the videos,\u00a0Yiannopoulos talked about \u201cinter-generational relationships\u201d and said: \u201cThe whole consent thing is not as black and white as people try and paint it.\u201d<\/p>\n He apologized for his statements, saying, \u201cI do not support child abuse. It\u2019s a disgusting crime of which I am a victim.\u201d<\/p>\n Yiannopoulos also accused the mainstream media of deceptively editing a video of his statements.<\/p>\n \u201cThey have reported things about me which they know aren\u2019t true and f\u2014 you for that,\u201d he told the\u00a0press Tuesday.<\/p>\n The media went wild with coverage of the\u00a0Yiannopoulos statements and resignation \u2013 and the left attempted\u00a0to link him to President Trump and alleged dysfunction within the Republican Party \u2013 with headlines including the following:<\/p>\n In May 2016, Nickerson expressed his love for a 5-year-old girl when he was 18, Breitbart reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI remember looking up and just seeing her and just going\u2026 \u2018Wow, she\u2019s beautiful,\u2019\u201d Nickerson explained in a three-minute video.\u00a0\u201cI knew I was in deep, I had fallen for the girl.\u201d<\/p>\n Breitbart reported<\/a>, \u201cHe goes\u00a0on to explain that he never hurt the girl. Todd mentions that a lot of his fantasies revolve around young girls that are more powerful than himself and that his breaking point came when he would have to excuse himself while babysitting to masturbate in the bathroom. He left town shortly after to \u2018get his head straightened out.’\u201d<\/p>\n Heat Street writer Ian Miles Cheong noticed the articles no longer existed on Salon\u2019s website. Cheong tweeted the following Monday:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Daily Wire staff writer Elliott Hamilton<\/a> later tweeted that Salon claims it removed the articles in January.<\/p>\n \u201cCORRECTION: @Salon supposedly deleted these articles in January. But why the sudden change of heart over pedophilia?\u201d<\/p>\n WND\u2019s requests for comment from Salon hadn\u2019t been returned at the time of this report.<\/p>\n In 2012, Salon published a story headlined, \u201cMeet the pedophiles who mean well,\u201d<\/a> which remains on the site.<\/p>\n And in 2013, Salon ran a\u00a0column headlined, \u201cOur approach to pedophilia isn\u2019t working.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0The article, which argued that pedophilia shouldn\u2019t be considered a medical issue and not a moral one, remains on the website.<\/p>\n\n
<\/a>But while Salon reported extensively on the Yiannopoulos controversy, it apparently deleted stories by Nickerson, including one from Sept. 21, 2015, headlined, \u201cI\u2019m a pedophile, but not a monster.\u201d\u00a0Nickerson speaks openly about pedophilia, which he considers an orientation. He is a moderator for the online forum \u201cVirtuous Pedophiles,\u201d also called \u201cEthical Pedophiles\u201d and \u201cGold Star Pedophiles.\u201d Nickerson claims he has never sexually abused children.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
