As Sean Hannity\u2019s site <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hannity.com\/articles\/election-493995\/photos-check-out-the-trumpinspired-dress-15557235\/\" target=\"_blank\">explains<\/a>, Joy Villa, who was not nominated for an award, \u201cinitially arrived in a a [sic] white cape, and revealed the red, white, and blue MAGA dress in front of photographers on the red carpet.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"tablet-ad\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-3 text parbase section\">\n<p>Many outlets ran articles featuring multiple images of Villa\u2019s outfit, and some actively praised it. <em>Breitbart<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/big-hollywood\/2017\/02\/12\/photos-joy-villa-unveils-donald-trump-dress-grammys\/\" target=\"_blank\">rounded up tweets<\/a> from the \u201cmany leftists\u201d criticizing Villa\u2019s choice, especially suggestions that she was just seeking attention. If she was, the ploy seems to have worked: The <em>Daily Caller\u2013<\/em>affiliated Smoke Room <a href=\"http:\/\/smokeroom.com\/2017\/02\/13\/singers-music-sales-take-off-after-wearing-a-trump-dress-to-the-grammys-amazon1\/\" target=\"_blank\">reports that Villa\u2019s online music sales spiked<\/a> after the ceremony.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text parbase text-4 section\">\n<p>Posts celebrating Joy Villa\u2019s sartorial choices circulated were heavily shared on conservative Facebook pages:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"renderHtml section\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FFoxNews%2Fposts%2F10155107384831336&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"627\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<div class=\"renderHtml section\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fpresidentdonaldtrump16%2Fposts%2F650294668506810&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"479\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<div class=\"text parbase text-5 section\">\n<p>Despite its own admiration for Villa, \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifezette.com\/popzette\/grammy-awards-cant-resists-politics\/\" target=\"_blank\">who showed pure courage<\/a>,\u201d <em>LifeZette <\/em>was largely dismissive of the other political statements at the Grammys. Two notable exceptions: James Corden, whose \u201coffhanded comments weren\u2019t totally inaccurate [when he] rapped that \u2018with Trump we don\u2019t know what\u2019s coming next,\u2019 \u201d and Jennifer Lopez, who also got a pass from the site for dwelling on \u201cthe importance of the artist\u2019s voice during trying times,\u201d since it wasn\u2019t clear whether or not her comments should be \u201ctaken as a dig against Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text text-6 parbase section\">\n<p><em>LifeZette<\/em> was more critical of A Tribe Called Quest\u2019s performance with Busta Rhymes, who referred to Trump as \u201cPresident Agent Orange,\u201d writing that the \u201ccrowd seemed remarkably disinterested, and showed 10 times more enthusiasm for Adele\u2019s tribute to George Michael.\u201d \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/big-hollywood\/2017\/02\/12\/grammys-tribe-called-quest-busta-rhymes-call-trump-president-agent-orange\/\" target=\"_blank\">Shock: Super Edgy Celebz Bash Trump at Grammys<\/a>,\u201d is how <em>Breitbart<\/em> teased the performance. The site was also critical of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/big-hollywood\/2017\/02\/12\/katy-perry-wears-persist-armband-grammys-performance\/\" target=\"_blank\">Katy Perry<\/a>, who it described as \u00a0\u201ca prominent\u00a0Hillary Clinton celebrity consigliere\u201d before noting that she \u201chas never won a Grammy Award.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text parbase text-7 section\">\n<p>In \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifezette.com\/popzette\/liberals-charge-racism-grammy-awards-please\/\" target=\"_blank\">Liberals Charge \u2018Racism\u2019 at the Grammys\u2014Please<\/a>,\u201d <em>LifeZette<\/em> pointed to the Tribe Called Quest performance and to nonwhite artists who received awards, going on to pronounce, \u201cAdele won Best Album of the Year because she had the best album of the year. <em>Period<\/em>.\u201d The piece went on to say:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text parbase text-8 section\">\n<blockquote><p>At its best, art\u2014especially music\u2014can help people of all kinds, of all income levels, of all backgrounds, come together and forget identity politics. Unfortunately, many today are not satisfied until art itself is crippled into something divisive and aggressive.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text parbase text-9 section\">\n<p>Finally, there was Beyonc\u00e9, who performed pregnant with twins.
