After he emerged from an elevator at Trump Tower Tuesday, several <a href=\"http:\/\/libertyviral.com\/judge-napolitano-for-scotus-meets-with-trump\/#axzz4W2WOWoMv\">blogs<\/a>, including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.allenbwest.com\/matt-palumbo\/fox-news-host-running-supreme-court\">one published by former Rep. Allen West<\/a>, began speculating about Napolitano\u2019s meeting with Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrump might be seeking advice from the libertarian analyst \u2014 and maybe, just maybe he might be considering the Fox analyst for a Supreme Court position,\u201d wrote <a href=\"http:\/\/pjmedia.com\/video\/scotus-pick-fox-news-judge-andrew-napolitano-seen-at-trump-tower\/\">PJ Media\u2019s Tyler O\u2019Neil<\/a>. \u201cWhile Napolitano is not one of the 21 names on Trump\u2019s SCOTUS list, anything is possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matt Palumbo at Allen West\u2019s blog added, \u201cIf he\u2019s not in consideration for what will be the most contested appointment Trump makes, he\u2019s undeniably going to be influential in picking who that person is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the meeting, Napolitano told Fox Business\u2019 Stuart Varney, \u201cThe president-elect is focusing on his choices, or his choice, for the Supreme Court of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Napolitano continued, \u201cWe discussed the judicial attitudes, judicial temperament, judicial ideology and candidates for the court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/author\/anapolitano\/\">his columns published on WND<\/a> and in public statements, the judge has been outspoken on the issue of Hillary Clinton\u2019s unsecured private email server, even suggesting the Department of Justice may reopen the email case against the former secretary of state.<\/p>\n<p><em>Judge Napolitano visits Trump Tower Tuesday:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Screen-Shot-2017-01-19-at-7.38.17-AM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-63788\" src=\"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Screen-Shot-2017-01-19-at-7.38.17-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"636\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Screen-Shot-2017-01-19-at-7.38.17-AM.png 636w, https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Screen-Shot-2017-01-19-at-7.38.17-AM-300x170.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With his inauguration just days away, Trump\u2019s\u00a0nomination to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia, a conservative stalwart, is expected at any time. As of Tuesday,\u00a0Judge William H. Pryor Jr. was widely\u00a0considered to be Trump\u2019s most likely choice for the nomination. Trump\u2019s current list of 21 candidates for the Supreme Court does not include Napolitano. Robert Young<\/p>\n<p>Trump has promised to pick a candidate that shares the late Justice Scalia\u2019s faithfulness to the U.S. Constitution and conservatism.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2017\/01\/trump-warned-of-joker-in-pack-of-supreme-court-options\/\">As WND reported<\/a>, his rumored top choice is William Pryor, a judge on\u00a0the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit\u00a0since 2004.
