The Obama administration has awarded a\u00a0$50 million contract<\/a>\u00a0to a charitable group to buy a Texas resort hotel and transform it in to a 600 bed facility for juvenile illegal aliens.<\/p>\n

\nThe beautiful\u00a0Palm Aire resort and hotel<\/strong>\u00a0has an indoor Olympic sized pool and an outdoor pool. \u00a0Free Wi-Fi and cable TV<\/a>\u00a0are included in the simply decorated guest rooms.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Palm Aire Hotel and Suites<\/a>\u00a0is set to be sold to Baptist Child & Family Services (BCFS) operating under a federal contract, pending local government approval, according to reports from Weslaco, Texas where the hotel is located. Weslaco is a few miles north of the Rio Grande in Hidalgo County.<\/p>\n

The resort hotel for illegal alien children is reportedly the \u2018first in the nation\u2019.<\/p>\n

\nThe Palm Aire includes tennis courts, a laundromat and a snack bar.<\/p>\n

The plan is to have the hotel ready for illegal alien children ages 12 to 17 by October 1st of this year, a mere two-and-half months from now. It is expected the average stay will be about fifteen days.<\/p>\n

The Palm Aire Hotel and Suites currently advertises\u00a0amenities<\/a>\u00a0such as two outdoor swimming pools\u2014one Olympic sized\u2014Jacuzzis, sauna, steam room, two racquetball courts, outdoor tennis courts, picnic area with grills and a fitness center with twenty machines and free weights.<\/p>\n

\nA luxurious fitness center is on site at the Weslaco Palm Aire Hotel and Suites. Guests can also wind down in the sauna after a long trip.<\/p>\n

Attracted to the space for outdoor recreation at the Palm Aire Hotel and Suites, BCFS spoke of building a soccer field at the hotel and adding a perimeter fence.<\/p>\n

BCFS plans to\u00a0employ 650 people<\/a>\u00a0at the Palm Aire Hotel and Suites, which would mean slightly over one worker per illegal alien child. According to the BCSF Website, the charity\u2019s jobs pay from $10 to $45 per hour.<\/p>\n

KRGV-TV quoted a BCFS spokeswoman about the purpose of buying the Palm Aire Hotel and Suites:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going to be an intake facility, which serves as a lot like a hospital emergency room,\u201d Krista Piferrer, BCFS VP External Affairs said.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u201dWe\u2019ve all seen the photos and the videos of children in crowded Border Patrol facilities. What this site is going to allow to happen is quickly move those children out of Border Patrol cells and triage them,\u201d Piferrer said.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

BCFS plans for the facility to be \u201ccompletely self-contained\u201d with Piferrer telling\u00a0KRGV-TV<\/a>, \u2018medical staff will be on hand so children with diseases or injuries will not be transferred to local hospitals.\u2019<\/p>\n

Piferrer told the\u00a0Valley Morning Star<\/a>\u00a0the Palm Aire Hotel and Suites facility would \u2018(provide) medical and mental health care, on-site educational programs, recreational programs and case management.\u2019<\/p>\n

According to a Hidalgo County commissioner, the BCFS contract for the Palm Aire Hotel and Suites is an annual one worth $50 million per year. It is not part of the $3.7 billion emergency funding for the illegal alien invasion requested by the Obama administration as the bill hasn\u2019t yet passed but it is a good indication of where the money will go.<\/p>\n
