Fight against child abuse loses another prominent voice<\/b><\/p>\n
The death in late summer of Fox News investigative reporter and producer Martin Burns, came as a heavy blow to the many child advocates and suffering parents who looked to Burns’ award winning TV segments “Lost in the System,” to champion their fight for justice for child victims of abuse and trafficking.<\/p>\n
The LA County Coroner allegedly visited Burns’ house on the day his body was discovered and reportedly told an inquisitive\u00a0neighbour\u00a0Burns had probably suffered a “catastrophic accident” but had only minor abrasions on his body from a fall. According to a spokesman from the coroner’s office, Burns’ body was recovered from a location 30′ east of the east edge of the Castle Canyon trail en route for Inspiration Point. Hikers familiar with the trail have commented they consider it unlikely Burns would have died from the fall alone and they suspect other factors were involved.<\/p>\n

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ <\/em><\/p>\n Save\u00a0Lexi\u00a0Dillon From Harm and Save Orange County $10 million!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Lexi\u00a0Dillon, a 9-year-old American girl has credibly and consistently stated she has been physically, sexually and emotionally abused by her father, a Pakistani-Thai citizen who is being denied entry to the U.S. by Homeland Security reportedly for national security reasons. Though the Tustin Police Department found overwhelming evidence of the abuse, prosecutorial and social welfare misconduct have resulted in the father being given full custody of his minor daughter—-to him, a Suspected Child Rapist. The Tustin Police found enough evidence to request prosecution on six felony charges including:<\/p>\n California Penal Code Section 288 (a) – Lewd Act<\/p>\n California Penal Code Section 173 (a) (b) – Child Abuse<\/p>\n California Penal Code Section 188.5 – Continual Sexual Abuse of a Child<\/p>\n California Penal Code Section 289 (a) (1) (A) – Anal Penetration<\/p>\n California Penal Code Section 188 (a) (a) – Oral Copulation<\/p>\n California Penal Code Section 188.7 (b) – Oral Copulation with a Victim under 10 Years Old<\/p>\n Now\u00a0Lexi\u00a0is being held a virtual prisoner by handlers hired by her alleged abuser father. Her wish is to be with her mother who has never been accused of being an unfit parent. Her mother lives locally is a dentist and loves her daughter very much.<\/p>\n We are calling on the Orange County BOS to intercede and demand CPS fulfill their mandate to protect children. Robert Munoz, a senior social worker, was the chief witness that led the family court judge to give full custody to\u00a0Lexi’s\u00a0abuser.\u00a0Munoz was investigated by the County for perjury and violating the policies and principles of Social Services Agency.<\/p>\n The agency has since relieved Mr. Munoz of his position but refuses to protect\u00a0Lexi\u00a0knowing full well their employee endangered this child.<\/p>\n We have a moral, fiscal and emotional responsibility to act now before it’s too late and the OC Social Services agency allows a 9-year-old innocent child to wind up in Thailand, which is not signatory to the Hague convention. The agency is well aware this is illegal under U.S. Law.<\/p>\n On Friday, June 6, 2014, a travel ban was lifted that had prevented the father’s handlers from removing her from Orange County. She could disappear at any time and is in imminent danger of being sent to Thailand as a child sex slave.\u00a0Lexi\u00a0is prevented from talking to anyone who will help because they fear she knows too much.<\/p>\n And if she does disappear, it’s the Orange County taxpayer who will pay the emotional and financial bill. We have a moral responsibility to do anything and everything we can to save this little girl or we will be riddled with guilt and required to pay when the family sues the County and wins.<\/p>\n We are calling on the Orange County BOS to intercede and demand Child Protective Services (CPS) remove\u00a0Lexi\u00a0from an abusive situation, take her into protective custody and reunite mother and daughter.<\/p>\n You will recall the Deanna Fogarty-Hardwick case that cost Orange County $10.6 million, when a jury, and later the Fourth District Court of Appeals, agreed that two social workers lied to take away a woman’s daughters. The appellate court stated:<\/p>\n “The fact that a very well respected member of the superior court bench viewed the issuance of injunctive relief as necessary here highlights the egregiousness of defendants’ (Social Services Agency) conduct in this case. Stated plainly, the outcome of this case cannot be dismissed as merely the unfortunate product of a runaway jury. The evidence adduced at trial obviously caused both the jury and the judge to conclude not only that something seriously wrong was done to Fogarty-Hardwick in this case, but also that the wrongful conduct was not an isolated incident. That conclusion is something the County should be taking very seriously.”<\/p>\n If\u00a0Lexi\u00a0Dillon is not returned to her mother the cost to the county could exceed the $14 million paid out in the Fogarty-Hardwick case. Shawn McMillan, Fogarty-Hardwick’s attorney is quoted, “In my view, the taxpayers in Orange County should be pissed.
