CNN has dumped pundit and interim leader of the Democratic National Committee Donna Brazile, saying it’s “completely uncomfortable” with her apparent leaking of a debate question to Hillary Clinton, The Hill<\/strong><\/a> reported.<\/p>\n CNN said it accepted Brazile’s resignation on Oct. 14, though her deal with the network was suspended in July when she took over the DNC on an interim basis, Politico <\/strong><\/a>reported.<\/p>\n A WikiLeaks dump of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s hacked emails allegedly shows Brazile informing the Clinton campaign of a question that would come from a woman affected by the lead water poisoning in Flint, Michigan.<\/p>\n Brazile allegedly sent the email the day before the Democratic primary debate in Flint in March.<\/p>\n “CNN never gave Brazile access to any questions, prep material, attendee list, background information or meetings in advance of a town hall or debate,” The Hill quoted CNN’s statement. “We are completely uncomfortable with what we have learned about her interactions with the Clinton campaign while she was a CNN contributor.”<\/p>\n Brazile released a statement denying the allegations.<\/p>\n “As a longtime political activist with deep ties to our party, I supported all of our candidates for president. I often shared my thoughts with each and every campaign, and any suggestions that indicate otherwise are simply untrue. As it pertains to the CNN Debates, I never had access to questions and would never have shared them with the candidates if I did,” Brazile said.<\/p>\n Brazile was confronted about the leak in a televised interview with Megyn Kelly of Fox News<\/strong><\/a> after the third and final presidential debate.<\/p>\n “You know, as a Christian woman, I understand persecution, but I will not sit here and be persecuted because your information is totally false,” Brazile said to Kelly during a heated exchange.<\/p>\n
