{"id":51783,"date":"2016-10-10T15:40:22","date_gmt":"2016-10-10T19:40:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=51783"},"modified":"2016-10-10T15:40:22","modified_gmt":"2016-10-10T19:40:22","slug":"online-polls-declare-trump-winner-of-presidential-debate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=51783","title":{"rendered":"Online Polls Declare Trump Winner Of Presidential Debate"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>&#8220;Facing tremendous pressure &#8230;&#8221;.<\/h2>\n<p><!--more-->by Jack Davis<a href=\"http:\/\/www.westernjournalism.com\/author\/russdavis\/\" data-type=\"Internal link\" data-type-location=\"before-article-meta\"><br \/>\n<\/a>WESTERN JOURNALISM<br \/>\nAccording to online polls scoring the second presidential debate Sunday night, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump had a landslide win over Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>With about 659,000 votes in, Trump led Clinton 58.64 percent to 41.36 percent in the Drudge Report Poll.<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/twitter.com\/TimSClark\/status\/785308716849442818?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw<\/p>\n<p>The Right Scoop\u2019s poll scored 75.77 percent for Trump to 19.92 percent for Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>Breitbart\u2019s poll showed Trump with 93.25 percent while Clinton was at 6.75 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The poll on Mediaite showed Trump ahead 53.21 percent to 46.79 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Variety magazine\u2019s instant poll showed Trump winning 58.61 percent to 41.39 percent.<\/p>\n<p>At BuzzFeed, 63 percent said Trump won against 8 percent for Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>Online polls, in which one respondent can vote multiple times, are not scientific.\u00a0A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2016\/10\/09\/politics\/clinton-wins-debate-but-trump-exceeds-expectations\/\" target=\"_blank\">post-debate CNN\/ORC<\/a>poll showed Clinton winning the debate 57 percent to 34 percent. CNN noted that among those being polled, 58 percent said before the debate they supported Clinton. Add to that his decision to bring along the Bill Clinton accusers \u2013 the equivalent of Hillary dropping Alicia Machado on Trump at the end of the previous debate \u2013 and Trump had good night in terms of strategy and surpassing expectations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFacing tremendous pressure to appear contrite and offer a genuine apology for his comments about taking advantage of women some 11 years ago, Donald Trump did something better: he pivoted,\u201d commented<a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/opinion\/2016\/10\/09\/latest-october-surprise-trump-pivots-and-saves-his-candidacy-at-second-debate.html\" target=\"_blank\">Douglas E. Schoen<\/a> on Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cTrump emphasized over and over again that Clinton has spent the last 30 years in public service and has little to show for it. He went at her foreign policy record and cited failures in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria and Iran.
