{"id":51446,"date":"2016-10-07T14:36:24","date_gmt":"2016-10-07T18:36:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=51446"},"modified":"2016-10-07T14:36:24","modified_gmt":"2016-10-07T18:36:24","slug":"more-illegal-immigrant-voters-discovered-in-philly-just-the-tip-of-the-iceberg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=51446","title":{"rendered":"More Illegal Immigrant Voters Discovered In Philly &#8211; &#8220;Just The Tip Of The Iceberg&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->ZeroHedge.com<\/p>\n<p>Over the past few weeks, we&#8217;ve written frequently about allegations of voter fraud from around the country.\u00a0 The key swing state of Virginia, in particular, seems to be a hotbed of potential corruption as evidenced by the actions of 19 year old &#8220;Young Virginia Democrat&#8221;, Andrew Spieles, who allegedly acted alone to re-register a bunch of dead voters in his home state (see our post <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2016-09-30\/meet-young-virginia-democrat-registered-19-dead-people-vote-virginia\">here<\/a>).\u00a0 Then there were the efforts of Virginia&#8217;s governor, and long-time Clinton confidant, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2016-08-21\/felonsvotesmatter-virginia-governor-announce-13000-ex-cons-have-been-registered-vote\">Terry McAuliffe to register 200,000 felons to vote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But Virginia, isn&#8217;t the only state with questionable voter registration practices.\u00a0 Fraudulent voter registrations have been uncovered in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2016-09-24\/dead-people-are-voting-key-swing-state-colorado\">Colorado<\/a>, where dead people were found to be voting multiple years after their death, and in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2016-09-29\/arcan-investigation\">Washington<\/a> where the Turkish-born, non-citizen who killed five people at the Cascade Mall massacre has apparently been voting for years.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the latest voter registration fraud comes from the &#8220;City of Brotherly Love&#8221; where, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifezette.com\/polizette\/illegal-voters-uncovered-philly-just-tip-iceberg\/\">LifeZette<\/a>, an investigation by Joseph Vanderhulst, an attorney with the Public Interest Legal Foundation, revealed that <strong>86 &#8220;non-citizens&#8221; have been registered to vote in Phildelphia for years with half of them casting ballots in at least 1 election.<\/strong>\u00a0 What&#8217;s worse, the only reason Philadelphia election officials were even able to identify the &#8220;non-citizen&#8221; voters was because they had self-reported that they were erroneously registered to vote after a trip to the DMV to get a drivers license.\u00a0 According to Vanderhulst&#8217;s investigation,<strong> the DMV &#8220;errs on the side of registering voters&#8221; if there are any discrepancies on their forms. <\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"quote_start\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"quote_end\"><\/div>\n<p>Vanderhulst said city officials indicated they err on the side of registering voters.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;If the checked [citizenship] boxes are blank, they still register them,&#8221;<\/strong> he said. <strong>&#8220;That&#8217;s how these people are getting on the rolls \u2026 It&#8217;s just too easy. Maybe it&#8217;s supposed to be easy<\/strong> \u2014 but the price of that seems to be no discretion on the front end.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/user230519\/imageroot\/2016\/10\/06\/CartoonIllegalAlienVoters.jpg\" alt=\"Voters\" width=\"462\" height=\"350\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Of the fraudulently registered voters in Philly, <strong>59 were registered as Democrats while 21 had no party affiliation and only 6 were registered as Republicans<\/strong>&#8230;which we suspect will come as a surprise to almost no one.\u00a0 But apparently this isn&#8217;t a new phenomenon in Philadelphia.\u00a0 Vanderhulst&#8217;s investigation found that dozens of illegally registered voters are discovered each year and many of them have participated in multiple election cycles.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"quote_start\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"quote_end\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>The city canceled 23 registered voters in 2015. Of that group, seven voted in past elections, and three had been registered for more than a decade.<\/li>\n<li>The city canceled 30 registered voters in 2014. Of that group, 18 had voted in past elections, and eight had been registered for at least a decade.<\/li>\n<li>The city canceled 33 registered voters in 2013. Of that group, 15 had voted in past elections, and six had been registered for at least a decade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Of course, none of these recent cases of voter fraud had any impact on a U.S. appeals court that recently denied efforts by Kansas, Alabama and Georgia to add a proof-of-citizenship requirement to federal voter registration forms.\u00a0 Among other things, the court cited &#8220;<strong>&#8216;precious little&#8217; evidence of voter fraud by noncitizens.&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0 Per the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/local\/public-safety\/us-appeals-court-leaves-proof-of-citizenship-voting-requirement-to-federal-panel\/2016\/09\/26\/393be7c6-8407-11e6-ac72-a29979381495_story.html\">Washington Post<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"quote_start\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"quote_end\"><\/div>\n<p>A U.S. appeals court panel that barred Kansas, Alabama and Georgia from adding a proof-of-citizenship requirement to a federal voter registration form wrote Monday that federal law leaves it to a federal elections agency \u2014 not the states \u2014 to determine whether such a change is \u00adnecessary.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The panel wrote that although the document requirement \u201cunquestionably\u201d hinders voter registration groups ahead of the November elections, there was <strong>\u201cprecious little\u201d evidence of voter fraud by noncitizens, the problem the states said the measure is intended to fight.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Permitting the states to dictate the contents of the Federal Form would undermine\u201d its role as a \u2018backstop, the two-judge majority wrote. \u201cThe Commission, not the states, determines necessity.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Which begs the question, exactly how much evidence of illegal voting is officially required before states will be allowed to implement common sense rules to prevent fraud?<\/p>\n<p>___<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2016-10-06\/more-illegal-immigrant-voters-discovered-philly-just-tip-iceberg\">http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2016-10-06\/more-illegal-immigrant-voters-discovered-philly-just-tip-iceberg<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-51446","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/51446","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=51446"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/51446\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=51446"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=51446"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=51446"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
