Julian Assange kept his supporters waiting for more than two hours early Tuesday morning, only to inform them that he was not releasing any major scoops about Hillary Clinton at his London press conference.<\/h2>\n

Assange appeared via satellite from his perch at London\u2019s Ecuadorian embassy at 5:02 AM Eastern Time wearing a black \u201ctruth\u201d T-shirt, two hours after Wikileaks\u2019 tenth anniversary press conference convened in Berlin.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve seen the Internet and there\u2019s enormous expectation in the United States,\u201d Assange said. \u201cSome of that expectation is partly answered but you have to understand that if we\u2019re going to make a major publication in relation to the United States at a particular hour, we don\u2019t do it at 3 AM.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a great many upcoming publications,\u201d Assange promised, noting that\u00a0\u201cOur sources have suffered terrible consequences in the United States.\u201d Assange has implied that murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich was a Wikileaks source.<\/p>\n

Assange said that Wikileaks will be publishing once a week for the next ten weeks with a special interest in the \u201cU.S. election\u201d and topics like war, surveillance, and Google.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s been a lot of misquoting of me,\u201d Assange said when asked if his upcoming publications would destroy Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn this particular case, the misquoting has to do with, we want to harm Hillary Clinton, or I want to harm Hillary Clinton.\u201d Assange said that some in the United States want to \u201cpersonalize\u201d his upcoming publications.<\/p>\n

Expectant watchers filled the comments on Right Side Broadcasting\u2019s Youtube livestream of the event with taunts of \u201cBoring,\u201d \u201cZZZZZZ,\u201d and \u201cAssange is a no show.\u201d One commenter compared the event to Geraldo Rivera\u2019s ill-fated entry into Al Capone\u2019s secret vault, where Rivera found nothing interesting inside.<\/p>\n

The press conference convened at 4:06 AM Eastern Time in Berlin from a dimly lit auditorium with a rudimentary projection screen.<\/p>\n

A woman representing Wikileaks introduced a video montage commemorating the organization\u2019s biggest hits over its ten-year run, including its publication of documents and videos pertaining to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan \u2014 some of which were leaked to the group by Bradley Manning \u2014 and the operating procedures at Guantanamo Bay prison. The woman extensively recapped some of Wikileaks\u2019 most divisive cases, claiming that the group has endured dDos cyber attacks and \u201cpropaganda attacks\u201d from enemy forces.<\/p>\n

The woman, referencing the Democratic National Committee email leak that complicated the Democratic convention in Philadelphia<\/a>, said that Wikileaks is now getting hit with another major propaganda attack. The woman outright denied that anyone at Wikileaks is a \u201cRussian spy,\u201d citing thousands of documents that Wikileaks has published \u201cexposing\u201d the regime of Bashar al Assad, a Russian ally.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor us, these kinds of attacks are quite interesting,\u201d she said. \u201cThe lesson we\u2019ve learned through these propaganda attacks is just to keep publishing \u2026 And so we will keep publishing.\u201d<\/p>\n

A small panel ensued, with Wikileaks officials talking about their biggest cases.<\/p>\n

Wikileaks then showed a video collecting Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and C-SPAN segments in which U.S. politicos, mostly Republicans like Mitch McConnell and Karl Rove, called for Assange\u2019s arrest and prosecution. One of Assange\u2019s attorneys spoke about Assange\u2019s \u201cindefinite detention\u201d at the Ecuadorian embassy. The lawyer made reference to the \u201csmear campaign caused by the DNC leaks\u201d and to Hillary Clinton\u2019s desire, stated in a private meeting, to drone Assange.<\/p>\n
