Washington DC.<\/li>\n<li>Uncovered records expose a constant flow of money between his\u00a0organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Brock\u2019s\u00a0unregistered Professional Solicitor, the Bonner Group, receives\u00a0a 12.5% cut\u00a0every time money is moved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>There\u2019s a reason why\u00a0David Brock\u00a0chooses to house an\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/2016\/09\/17\/correct-the-record-unregistered-solicitation\/\">unregistered Professional Solicitor<\/a>\u00a0in his office to raise money\u00a0for his conglomerate of Super PACs and non-profits.<\/p>\n<p>Professional Solicitors\u00a0are required to\u00a0disclose their active solicitation contracts. \u00a0Brock wants his unregistered solicitor, the Bonner Group, to keep their client list hidden for a very specific reason.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>David Brock is laundering money<\/h3>\n<p>David Brock has 7 non-profits, 3 Super PACs, one 527-committee, one LLC,\u00a0one joint fundraising committee, and one unregistered solicitor crammed into his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/2016\/09\/12\/pro-clinton-organizations-share-office-space\/\">office in Washington DC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Uncovered records\u00a0expose a constant flow of money between these organizations.<\/p>\n<p>The Bonner Group, his professional solicitor,\u00a0works off a commission. \u00a0<em>Every time <\/em>money gets passed around, Bonner receives a 12.5% cut.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Follow the money<\/h3>\n<p>Nonprofits\u00a0are required to disclose who they give cash\u00a0grants to.<\/p>\n<p>But they aren\u2019t required to disclose who gave them cash\u00a0grants.<\/p>\n<p>This weak system of one way verification is being abused by\u00a0Brock. \u00a0He\u2019s\u00a0been cycling money between his\u00a0organizations for years, and the Bonner Group\u2019s 12.5% commission gets\u00a0triggered after\u00a0every pass.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In 2014, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/MM-2014.pdf?189db0\">Media Matters for America<\/a> raised $10,021,188.<\/p>\n<p>The Bonner Group was credited for raising these funds. \u00a0Media Matters paid them a $1,147,882 commission.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-286\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That same year, Media Matters gave a $930,000\u00a0cash grant to David Brock\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Franklin-Education-Forum-2014.pdf?189db0\">Franklin Education Forum<\/a>, an organization that shares office space with Media Matters.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-323\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Media-Matters-Grant-to-Franklin-Education-Forum-1.png?189db0\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" width=\"690\" height=\"197\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In\u00a02014, the Franklin Education Forum reported\u00a0$994,000 in total contributions. \u00a093.6% of that total\u00a0came\u00a0from Media Matters!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Surprisingly, though, the Franklin Education Forum gave full credit to Bonner for raising that money. \u00a0They\u00a0paid the fundraiser a $124,250 commission in the 12.5% commission\n<ul>\n<li>David Brock paid\u00a0<em>the Bonner Group\u00a0<\/em>a $124,250 commission to solicit a cash grant \u2026\u00a0<em>from himself!<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>It doesn\u2019t stop there<\/h3>\n<p>After the Franklin Education Forum retained\u00a0$869,750, they sent\u00a0a $816,224 cash grant\u00a0to David Brock\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Franklin Forum<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-290\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Franklin-Education-Forum-Grant-to-Franklin-Forum.png?189db0\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 702px) 100vw, 702px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Franklin-Education-Forum-Grant-to-Franklin-Forum.png 702w, They are not the same company.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Since The Franklin Forum 501(c)4 paid Bonner\u00a0a commission <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/The-Franklin-Forum-2013.pdf?189db0\">in 2013<\/a>, it\u2019s\u00a0safe to assume fundraiser\u00a0received\u00a0a $102,028 commission in 2014. Unfortunately, it\u2019s hard to tell for sure. They still haven\u2019t\u00a0filed their taxes for 2014!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Let\u2019s recap<\/h3>\n<p>Say, for example, you donate $1,062,857 to Media Matters for America. \u00a0 This is how David Brock would have used your charitable donation in 2014:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0<strong>Media Matters<\/strong>\u00a0would receive your $1,062,857 donation\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Bonner Group<\/strong>\u00a0would earn a $132,857 commission<\/li>\n<li><strong>Media Matters\u00a0<\/strong>would retain\u00a0$930,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Next, <strong>Media<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Matters<\/strong>\u00a0would give what\u2019s left of your\u00a0<em>entire donation<\/em>, $930,000,\u00a0to the <strong>Franklin Education Forum<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Bonner Group<\/strong>\u00a0would \u2018earn\u2019 a $116,250 commission<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Franklin Education Forum<\/strong>\u00a0would retain\u00a0$813,750<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Franklin Education Forum<\/strong>\u00a0would then\u00a0forward the\u00a0remaining\u00a0$813,750\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>The Franklin Forum<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Bonner Group <\/strong>would\u00a0\u2018earn\u2019 a $101,718 commission<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Franklin Forum<\/strong> would retain\u00a0$712,031<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In the end,\u00a0Brock\u2019s solicitor\u00a0would have\u00a0pocketed $350,825, almost a third\u00a0of your initial donation! That\u2019s a far cry from\u00a0the advertised\u00a012.5% commission.<\/p>\n<p>As bizarre as that\u00a0scenario may sound, this is\u00a0<em>exactly<\/em>\u00a0what David Brock did in 2014.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>How can we be sure this\u00a0is intentional?<\/h3>\n<p>David Brock is the Chairman for\u00a0each\u00a0of these organizations! \u00a0How could he\u00a0<em>not<\/em> know what\u2019s going on?<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s a hands-on Chairman. \u00a0According to their tax returns, Brock allocates time, weekly,\u00a0to his\u00a0organizations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Media Matters: 31.50 hours per week<\/li>\n<li>Franklin Education Forum: 3 hours per week<\/li>\n<li>The Franklin Forum: 1 hour per week<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Furthermore, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/02\/06\/us\/in-invisible-world-of-political-donor-advisers-a-highly-visible-player.html\">New York Times<\/a> reports that David Brock shares a summer rental in the Hamptons with Mary Pat Bonner, the President of the Bonner Group!<\/p>\n<p>David Brock will have a hard time\u00a0claiming ignorance on this. \u00a0These transfers are intentional. \u00a0He vacations with his solicitor. \u00a0Case closed.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Still not convinced?<\/h3>\n<p>David Brock didn\u2019t even bother to give his\u00a0organizations different phone numbers. \u00a0<em>They all share the same phone number!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-297\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Same-Phone-Number.png?189db0\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 702px) 100vw, 702px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Same-Phone-Number.png 702w, http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Same-Phone-Number-300x259.png 300w, http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Same-Phone-Number-70x60.png 70w\" alt=\"same-phone-number\" width=\"702\" height=\"607\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>What if\u2026?<\/h3>\n<p>We even located\u00a0the Bonner Group\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Bonner-Contract-Florida.pdf?189db0\">solicitation agreement<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0Media Matters on\u00a0Florida\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/csapp.800helpfla.com\/cspublicapp\/giftgiversquery\/giftgiversquery.aspx\">Gift Givers\u2019 Guide<\/a>. \u00a0Clarification on their commission can be found on page 2:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-296\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Bonner-Contract-Snip.png?189db0\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 743px) 100vw, 743px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Bonner-Contract-Snip.png 743w, http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Bonner-Contract-Snip-300x69.png 300w\" alt=\"bonner-contract-snip\" width=\"743\" height=\"171\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In English: \u00a0Contractually, David Brock has\u00a0the option to\u00a0exclude certain contributions\u00a0from triggering the commission. \u00a0In spite of this option, he\u00a0intentionally chooses to trigger the 12.5% commission for money grants between his organizations.<\/p>\n<p><em>Note: Yes, we\u00a0are making the assumption that all of Brock\u2019s organizations have the same solicitation agreement with the Bonner Group. \u00a0Given that his organizations share the same address, board members, and telephone number, we feel it\u2019s safe to assume they also share the same solicitation agreement.<\/em><\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>This barely scratches the surface<\/h3>\n<p>Utilizing public facing tax\u00a0returns, along with records submitted to the FEC, we mapped out\u00a0all the significant money transfers from 2014 that took place in Brock\u2019s office:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-300\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Brock-Transfers-2014-Part-1.png?189db0\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 493px) 100vw, 493px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Brock-Transfers-2014-Part-1.png 493w, http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Brock-Transfers-2014-Part-1-300x242.png 300w\" alt=\"brock-transfers-2014-part-1\" width=\"493\" height=\"397\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-301\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Brock-Transfers-2014-Part-2.png?189db0\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Brock-Transfers-2014-Part-2.png 610w, http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Brock-Transfers-2014-Part-2-300x172.png 300w\" alt=\"brock-transfers-2014-part-2\" width=\"610\" height=\"349\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is all from just one year! \u00a0No further commentary required.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>We understand this may be hard to believe. \u00a0We first came across this in July, and are\u00a0still having a hard time wrapping our heads around it.<\/p>\n<p>All of the data referenced in this\u00a0article originated from publicly accessible sources. \u00a0Check for yourself \u2013\u00a0we provided links to the source material\u00a0in our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizensaudit.com\/2016\/09\/12\/pro-clinton-organizations-share-office-space\/\">article<\/a>\u00a0exposing the organizations operating\u00a0in Brock\u2019s office,\u00a0 This data\u00a0has been sitting out in the open, gathering dust for\u00a0<em>years! \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Summary<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve spent\u00a0<em>months<\/em> trying to find some sort of loophole to justify\u00a0this activity. \u00a0But there aren\u2019t any loopholes. \u00a0David Brock has something to hide. \u00a0Just last week, <a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2016\/09\/13\/why-no-press-interest-in-the-troubling-conduct-of-hillarys-top-attack-dog\/\">The Daily Caller<\/a> reported the following:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrock\u2019s former long-time live-in boyfriend William Grey (whom Brock has thanked in several of his books) threatened to go to the IRS with damaging information about how Brock was running his Media Matters empire.\u00a0 What did Brock do? He <a href=\"http:\/\/docdro.id\/lIpLMAN\">paid Grey $850,000<\/a> to keep quiet. Brock reportedly had to sell his home in Rehoboth, Delaware to come up with the money.
