The TRUTH Movement<\/em> had no greater friend than Michael Ruppert<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to various news reports, Michael Ruppert, founder of FromTheWilderness.com and Collapsenet.com passed away on Sunday evening, April 13. \u00a0Truly, a great beacon of light went out in the world of men that evening. \u00a0Mike Ruppert was an extraordinary seeker and speaker of the truth. \u00a0He was also one of those wise, old souls who moved among his peers like a lion roaming the jungle.<\/p>\n

One of the editors of State of the Nation<\/strong> was fortunate to know an intimate spiritual advisor to Michael back in the first decade of this new millennium. \u00a0In fact, the spiritual advisor was so taken by Michael’s genuine commitment to the truth, courage in the face of extreme adversities, and enduring positive attitude, that he joined his cause. \u00a0As he was a close friend of ours, we knew this to be out of character for him. \u00a0Many a conversation with the spiritual advisor centered around how deeply impressed he was with Michael Ruppert’s various writings and truth initiatives.<\/p>\n

Much can be written about the many topics that Michael either opened up on the internet, or gave renewed impetus to. \u00a0His was an extremely open and brilliant mind. \u00a0He was capable of changing his viewpoint in a heartbeat when sufficient proof and\/or evidence compelled him to do so. \u00a0And he always left open the possibility that other angles ought to be considered regardless of how cut and dried any case might appear.<\/p>\n

Peak Oil, of course, will always be remembered as one of his greatest works. \u00a0So will his exposure of the CIA’s involvement in drug-running operations throughout the USA. \u00a0His Collapsenet.com website has proven to be an excellent resource for the many who know where this nation is heading. \u00a0No matter where he set his sights upon, he fully engaged the issues, attempted to address the differences of opinion, and sought to serve as a bridge to the many disparate truth groups which now abound.<\/p>\n

Much more can be written about Michael Ruppert, as it surely will be by the alternative news realm. \u00a0Hopefully as his legacy is reviewed, he will be remembered as one of the first among us to strike at the root. \u00a0Living and working on the cutting edge as he did, made him vulnerable to extraordinary and powerful forces whose only intentions are to squelch the truth. \u00a0Michael’s journey through life, and around the world, was dictated to a great extent by the projection of those forces into his life.<\/p>\n

We seriously wonder if it was those same forces which are responsible for his death. \u00a0The circumstances surrounding his death, as well as the comments by those who were close to him, are quite curious. \u00a0Almost pre-emptive, if you will. \u00a0The day and the time and the circumstances of his death do not quite add up, as they rarely do when suicide is alleged. \u00a0After all, everyone reading this eulogy probably knows of more people suicided by the CIA than they care to think about. \u00a0Remember Gary Webb of the San Jose Mercury News\u00a0‘committed suicide’ by shooting himself — TWICE<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0— after exposing the CIA as follows:\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Webb investigated\u00a0Nicaraguans<\/a>\u00a0linked to the\u00a0CIA<\/a>-backed\u00a0Contras<\/a>\u00a0who had smuggled cocaine into the U.S. Their smuggled cocaine was distributed as\u00a0crack cocaine<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Los Angeles<\/a>, with the profits funneled back to the Contras. Webb also alleged that this influx of Nicaraguan-supplied cocaine sparked, and significantly fueled, the widespread\u00a0crack cocaine epidemic<\/a>\u00a0that swept through many U.S. cities during the 1980s. According to Webb, the CIA was aware of the cocaine transactions and the large\u00a0shipments of drugs<\/a>\u00a0into the U.S. by Contra personnel. Webb charged that theReagan administration<\/a>\u00a0shielded inner-city drug dealers from prosecution in order to raise money for the Contras, especially after Congress passed the\u00a0Boland Amendment<\/a>, which prohibited direct Contra funding.”

Now consider that Michael Ruppert aggressively participated in the dissemination of this same narrative \u2026 across the internet, and wherever he spoke and lectured since 1996. \u00a0He even went so far as “to\u00a0confronts Bill Clinton’s CIA Director John Deutch about the CIA’s involvement in cocaine smuggling<\/em>” in an LA Town Hall meeting shown on C-SPAN. \u00a0The actual exchange can be viewed on the YouTube video that follows.<\/p>\n
