In an article bearing the headline \u201cLet\u2019s Talk About Juanita Broaddrick,\u201d writer Rebecca Schoenkopf addresses Broadrick\u2019s allegation that Clinton raped her in an Arkansas hotel room 40 years ago. She acknowledges the \u201ccontemporaneous evidence,\u201d including some of Broaddrick\u2019s friends claiming to have seen her crying and with bruised lips not long after the alleged incident occurred.<\/p>\n
While Schoenkopf doesn\u2019t buy the allegation that Clinton\u2019s wife, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, knew about or tried to keep Broaddrick quiet about the alleged rape, she does give some credence to the accusation against the former president.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo sum up, I think Bill Clinton could very well have raped Juanita Broaddrick,\u201d Schoenkopf wrote, \u201cthat it doesn\u2019t make him an evil man, or irredeemable.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m Catholic; we\u2019re all forgiven, if we\u2019re sorry, and Broaddrick says Bill Clinton personally called her up to apologize,\u201d the writer noted parenthetically, adding, \u201cIt doesn\u2019t even necessarily make him a bad feminist \u2014 you know, later, once he stops doing that.\u201d<\/p>\n
The decades-old sexual harassment and rape allegations against the former president made headlines earlier this year after Broaddrick sent out a tweet <\/a>reminding voters that \u201cit never goes away.\u201d<\/p>\n I was 35 years old when Bill Clinton, Ark.
