{"id":44640,"date":"2016-07-30T07:31:53","date_gmt":"2016-07-30T11:31:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=44640"},"modified":"2016-07-30T07:34:05","modified_gmt":"2016-07-30T11:34:05","slug":"trump-will-beat-clinton-by-landslide-proportions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=44640","title":{"rendered":"Trump will beat Clinton by &#8216;landslide proportions&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->By Rebecca Savransky<br \/>\nThe Hill<\/p>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-image field-type-image field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/sites\/default\/files\/styles\/article_full\/public\/blogs\/limbaughrush_120714getty.jpg?itok=C8Fy-6_E\" width=\"645\" height=\"363\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"credits\">Getty Images<\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\">\n<p>Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh is predicting a general election victory for <span class=\"rollover-people\"><a class=\"rollover-people-link\" href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/people\/donald-trump\" data-nid=\"261287\">Donald Trump<\/a><\/span>, now that the real estate mogul is the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My instinctive feeling right now is that Trump is gonna win, beat Hillary badly, that it could be landslide proportions,&#8221; he said during his show on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Limbaugh said he doesn&#8217;t think people get &#8220;why Trump won this.&#8221;&#8221;I don&#8217;t think they understand at all the reasons people support Trump,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And the deeper people are entrenched in politics, and the more they are accustomed to the templates and the handbooks and the theories and the playbooks, the less they&#8217;re gonna understand it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ck_AttHyF3k\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>People in the Never Trump movement and Trump&#8217;s many other competitors tried to beat him but couldn&#8217;t, he said. He pointed to the many negative ads that were run against Trump that failed to stunt his candidacy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Against a message like Trump&#8217;s, if your counter message is, &#8216;I&#8217;m the most conservative guy running,&#8217; that&#8217;s not going to work,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Even if you are, and even if you&#8217;re good at it, it&#8217;s not gonna make a dent.\u00a0Because none of this is about ideology right now. That&#8217;s why everybody&#8217;s talking about populism having overtaken conservatism. That hasn&#8217;t happened, but at this moment of time it looks like it,&#8221; he continued.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In this particular set of circumstances it looks like it.
