{"id":44351,"date":"2016-07-27T08:21:01","date_gmt":"2016-07-27T12:21:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=44351"},"modified":"2016-07-27T08:21:29","modified_gmt":"2016-07-27T12:21:29","slug":"chutzpah-killary-hires-disgraced-dnc-chair-for-own-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=44351","title":{"rendered":"Chutzpah: Killary hires disgraced DNC chair for own campaign\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Proving She Can Do Anything She Wants, Clinton Hires Disgraced DNC Chair for Own Campaign<\/h1>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"post-meta\"><span class=\"post-meta-author\">Claire Bernish<\/span><br \/>\nTheFreeThoughtProject.com<\/p>\n<p><i>United States \u2014<\/i> A spectacular implosion has beset the Democratic Party following the Wikileaks <a href=\"http:\/\/wikileaks.org\/dnc-emails\/\">release<\/a> of memos and emails proving, well, just about every accusation from independent media and Sanders supporters made throughout the past year \u2014 many of which had been mocked publicly as conspiracies by party insiders.<\/p>\n<p>In the latest jaw-dropper over the nearly 20,000-document leak deserving of the title, DNC-Gate, already-loathed Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz \u2014 shamed into resignation from decisive evidence of party <a href=\"http:\/\/theantimedia.org\/wikileaks-media-dnc-hillary\/\">collusion<\/a> with corporate presstitutes against Sanders, among multiple other <a href=\"http:\/\/theantimedia.org\/dnc-emails-democrats-rigged-primary\/\">once-conspiracies<\/a> \u2014 has been dutifully <a href=\"http:\/\/fortune.com\/2016\/07\/24\/wasserman-schultz-clinton-campaign\/\">scooped up<\/a> in an act of mordant hubris by none other than her teflon idol, Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThere\u2019s simply no one better at taking the fight to the Republicans than Debbie,\u201d<\/i> Clinton<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hillaryclinton.com\/briefing\/statements\/2016\/07\/24\/hillary-clinton-statement-on-the-resignation-of-democratic-national-committee-chair-debbie-wasserman-schultz\/\">pontificated<\/a> on her loyal lackey, <i>\u201cwhich is why I am glad that she has agreed to serve as honorary chair of my campaign\u2019s 50-state program to gain ground and elect Democrats in every part of the country, and will continue to serve as a surrogate for my campaign nationally, in Florida, and in other states.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Yes, the former secretary of state did, in fact, say exactly what Sanders\u2019 adherents, Republicans, and responsible journalists have been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.democracynow.org\/2016\/5\/31\/dnc_chair_wasserman_schultz_faces_criticism\">screaming<\/a> about for months \u2014 Wasserman Schultz will <b><i>continue<\/i><\/b> to serve as a Clinton campaign proxy.<\/p>\n<p>At least one thing is too patently obvious to warrant Clinton-esque deception.<\/p>\n<p>As the daytime drama cum reality show now masquerading as the Democratic Party kicks off its convention in Philadelphia today, complete with tens of thousands of <a href=\"http:\/\/reason.com\/blog\/2016\/07\/24\/philadelphia-dnc-protests-bigger-rnc\">protesters<\/a> of every stripe, Bernie Sanders issued a statement praising Wasserman Schultz\u2019 scandal-tinged resignation.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cDebbie Wasserman Schultz has made the right decision for the future of the Democratic Party,\u201d<\/i> the <i>Guardian<\/i> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2016\/jul\/24\/debbie-wasserman-schultz-resigns-dnc-chair-emails-sanders\">quoted<\/a> Sanders, adding party leaders must <i>\u201calways remain impartial in the presidential nominating process, something which did not occur in the 2016 race.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Such moralizing, however, glistens only with a gilded glint given Sanders\u2019 refusal to withdraw support for the establishment monarch, Hillary Clinton \u2014 in fact, the choice to remain loyal in the face of staggering coordination against his own campaign only lends credence to widely-held suspicions he\u2019d been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.counterpunch.org\/2016\/07\/19\/bern-out-beyond-cowardly-lion-leftism\/\">sheepdogging<\/a> for Hillary for the duration. For Sanders to continue to plead fealty to the party whose insiders secretly denigrated his faith, derided his ardent supporters, and unscrupulously plotted his downfall either betrays his surreptitious role as longstanding Hillary shill, or denotes an ethically-void capitulation to the manufacturers of his demise.<\/p>\n<p>Rendered effectively moot by both the DNC-Clinton alliance and his own lackluster lack of retort, Sanders\u2019 affirmation of Wasserman Schultz\u2019 rightful, humiliating <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alternet.org\/election-2016\/chaotic-start-dnc-wasserman-shultz-resigns-disgrace-only-be-elevated-clinton-key\">self-removal<\/a> from the helm merited little more than a footnote in the party\u2019s bizarre damage-control scramble on the eve of its quadrennial main event.<\/p>\n<p>In an apparent attempt to besmirch the legitimacy of the massive document drop \u2014 and distract from the telling contents \u2014 DNC officials proffered a ridiculous Russian red herring.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cMrs. Clinton\u2019s campaign manager, Robby Mook, <\/i><a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/ThisWeek\/week-transcript-live-philadelphia-democratic-national-convention\/story?id=40825144\"><i>argued<\/i><\/a><i> on ABC\u2019s \u2018This Week\u2019 that the emails were leaked \u2018by the Russians for the purpose of helping Donald Trump\u2019 citing \u2018experts\u2019 but offering no other evidence,\u201d<\/i> the <i>New York Times<\/i> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/07\/25\/us\/politics\/donald-trump-russia-emails.html?action=click&amp;contentCollection=Politics&amp;module=Trending&amp;version=Full&amp;region=Marginalia&amp;pgtype=article&amp;_r=0\">reported<\/a>. <i>\u201cMr. Mook also suggested that the Russians might have good reason to support Mr. Trump: The Republican nominee indicated in an interview with The New York Times last week that <\/i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/07\/21\/us\/politics\/donald-trump-issues.html\"><i>he might not back NATO nations<\/i><\/a><i> if they came under attack from Russia \u2014 unless he was first convinced that the countries had made sufficient contributions to the Atlantic alliance.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Mook only slightly elaborated on this gelastic allegation for <i>CNN<\/i>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/videos\/tv\/2016\/07\/24\/full-interview-clinton-campaign-manager-robby-mook.cnn\">stating<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cWhat\u2019s disturbing to us is that experts are telling us Russian state actors broke into the DNC, stole these emails, and other experts are now saying that the Russians are releasing these emails for the purpose of actually helping Donald Trump.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>He added, <i>\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s coincidental that these emails are being released on the eve of our convention here\u201d<\/i> in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p>Though Mook unsurprisingly failed to provide even a smidgen of evidence \u2014 much less names \u2014 to back up his claim, apparently the public should rest assured, because, he promised humorlessly:<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThis isn\u2019t my assertion. This is what experts are telling us.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>In echo-chamber support of this theoretical Russian plot \u2014 which the Trump camp and others have written off to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/clinton-campaign--and-some-cyber-experts--say-russia-is-behind-email-release\/2016\/07\/24\/5b5428e6-51a8-11e6-bbf5-957ad17b4385_story.html\">absurd<\/a> musings of an unraveling party \u2014 the Clinton campaign attested in a statement <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2016\/jul\/24\/clinton-campaign-blames-russia-wikileaks-sanders-dnc-emails\">cited by<\/a> the <i>Guardian<\/i>:<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThis is further evidence the Russian government is trying to influence the outcome of the election.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>A similar accusation of Russian infiltration, dutifully parroted by corporate media in June, cited nameless, unverified DNC and U.S. \u2018officials\u2019 and anonymous \u2018security experts\u2019 claiming \u201cRussian government hackers\u201d penetrated the DNC\u2019s network and, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/national-security\/russian-government-hackers-penetrated-dnc-stole-opposition-research-on-trump\/2016\/06\/14\/cf006cb4-316e-11e6-8ff7-7b6c1998b7a0_story.html\">reported<\/a> the <i>Washington Post<\/i>, had <i>\u201cso thoroughly compromised the DNC\u2019s system that they were able to read all email and chat traffic.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Of course, Russian officials wholly denied the claim, offering a far more sound explanation for the breach:<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cUsually these kinds of leaks take place not because hackers broke in, but, as any professional will tell you, because someone simply forgot the password or set the simple password 123456,\u201d<\/i> mused President Putin\u2019s top Internet advisor, German Kimeko, according to <i>RIA Novosti<\/i> state news agency <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/worldviews\/wp\/2016\/06\/15\/russias-unusual-response-to-charges-it-hacked-research-on-trump\/\">cited by<\/a> the <i>Post<\/i>. <i>\u201cWell, it\u2019s always simpler to explain this away as the intrigues of enemies, rather than one\u2019s own incompetence.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Floundering under the weight of leaks revealing its slavish devotion to Clinton and inability to remain neutral while mendaciously claiming the contrary throughout the election season, the DNC might have effectively swindled a rift so broad as to be insurmountable.<\/p>\n<p>As the convention gets underway, Sanders delegates and protesters might be sufficiently enraged to splinter from the Democratic Party so blatantly servile to its establishment darling against the conspicuous will of the people \u2014 with or without support from their populist hero, Bernie Sanders, himself.<\/p>\n<p>___<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/thefreethoughtproject.com\/clinton-hires-disgraced-wasserman\/\">http:\/\/thefreethoughtproject.com\/clinton-hires-disgraced-wasserman\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Proving She Can Do Anything She Wants, Clinton Hires Disgraced DNC Chair for Own Campaign<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-44351","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/44351","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=44351"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/44351\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=44351"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=44351"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=44351"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
