Media Going Crazy!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->by Christopher Watson<\/p>\n<p>At least Chris Christie only wanted to <a href=\"http:\/\/beforeitsnews.com\/r2\/?url=http:\/\/nypost.com\/2016\/07\/19\/chris-christie-gets-rnc-howling-for-hillary-clintons-head\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">throw Hillary Clinton in jail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Carson livened up his usual soft-spoken demeanor Thursday night to speculate about the Democratic candidates\u2019 ties to the devil during his speech at the Republican National Convention.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/video.beforeitsnews.com\/embed.php?vid=83937212b\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" seamless=\"\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beforeitsnews.com\/r2\/?url=http:\/\/video.beforeitsnews.com\/ben-carson-hillary-clinton-is-lucifer-worshiper_83937212b.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Ben Carson: Hillary Clinton is Lucifer Worshiper<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAre we willing to elect someone as president who has as their role model somebody who acknowledges Lucifer?,\u201d Carson shouted to the riled-up crowd. \u201cThink about that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carson was referring to one of Clinton\u2019s heroes, Saul Alinsky, a Democratic socialist writer, whose book, \u201cRules for Radicals,\u201d acknowledges Lucifer on the dedication page.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/beforeitsnews.com\/mediadrop\/uploads\/2016\/29\/21bbb7b7798e64a12c3aedac4d9b3dc9109346da.jpg\" alt=\"B4INREMOTE-aHR0cDovLzIuYnAuYmxvZ3Nwb3QuY29tL19ha29IZEk5STRiWS9SOUhPOHBsNGppSS9BQUFBQUFBQUJVcy9HSjFuc1RWWHp6RS9zNDAwL0hpbGxhcnkrZGV2aWwuanBn\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Clinton wrote her senior thesis about Alinsky.<br \/>\nAs Carson dived into Hillary\u2019s affinity with Alinsky, the wild crowd immediately started booing once Alinsky\u2019s name was mentioned.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Alinsky] was someone [Clinton] greatly admired and that affected all of her philosophies subsequently,\u201d Carson said at the Quicken Loans Arena. \u201cNow, interesting enough, let me tell you something about Saul Alinsky.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here is Carson\u2019s full RNC 2016 speech:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/video.beforeitsnews.com\/embed.php?vid=d69c7220a\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" seamless=\"\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beforeitsnews.com\/r2\/?url=http:\/\/video.beforeitsnews.com\/dr-ben-carson-gives-inspirational-speech-to-gop-convention-crowd_d69c7220a.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Dr. Ben Carson Gives Inspirational Speech To GOP Convention Crowd<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Carson \u2013 who failed at his bid to become the Republican nominee for president \u2013 went on to mention the nod to Lucifer, who he called \u201cthe original radical who gained his own kingdom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to mentioning Alinsky, the former neurosurgeon explained the negative side effects of a potential Clinton administration, pointing out how her appointment of Supreme Court justices and federal judges \u201cwould have a deleterious effect on what happens for generations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>_____________________________________<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not everyday that you hear oblique charges of satanism against a presidential candidate. But that\u2019s where Ben Carson went on the second night of the 2016 Republican National Convention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow, one of the things that I have learned about Hillary Clinton is that one of her heroes, her mentors was Saul Alinsky. And her senior thesis was about Saul Alinsky. This was someone she greatly admired and let me tell you something about Saul Alinsky,\u201d Carson said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe wrote a book called <em>Rules for Radicals<\/em>. It acknowledges Lucifer, the original radical who gained his own kingdom. Now think about that. This is our nation where our founding document, the Declaration of Independence talks about certain inalienable rights that come from our creator, a nation where our Pledge of Allegiance says we are \u2018One nation under God.\u2019 This is a nation where every coin in our pockets and every bill in our wallet says, \u2018In God We Trust.\u2019 So are we willing to elect someone as president who has as their role model somebody who acknowledges Lucifer? Think about that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We decided to think about that.<\/p>\n<p>Saul Alinsky was a Chicago-based community organizer who did write the 1971 book <em>Rules for Radicals: A Practical Primer for Realistic Radicals<\/em>. The book offers advice to activists seeking to influence public policy, covering topics such as class differences and tactics such as disrupting meetings and winning media attention.<\/p>\n<p>We found the full text of the book <a rel=\"nofollow\">via the Internet Archive<\/a> and found that Alinsky did indeed include an opening blurb on Lucifer, attributed to Alinsky himself. The epigraph is one of three; the other two quote Rabbi Hillel and Thomas Paine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins \u2014 or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom \u2014 Lucifer.<br \/>\n\u2014SAUL ALINSKY\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The rest of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Rules-Radicals-Practical-Primer-Realistic\/dp\/0679721134\" rel=\"nofollow\">the book<\/a> includes no real discussion of Lucifer or Satan, though it does talk about the way people demonize political opponents so that others see their opponents as \u201cdevils.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The epigraph strikes us as more of a provocative literary comment rather than direct advocacy for satanism. Alinsky seems to be acknowledging Lucifer only in a figurative sense, rather than a religious or devotional sense.<\/p>\n<p>So is Alinsky a \u201crole model\u201d for Clinton? The most direct connection between Alinsky and Clinton is that she wrote her undergraduate thesis about Alinsky and interviewed him before he died. At the time, Clinton was Hillary Rodham and the student government president at Wellesley College.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>New York Times<\/em> reviewed the 92-page thesis and <a href=\"http:\/\/beforeitsnews.com\/r2\/?url=http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2007\/09\/05\/us\/politics\/05clinton.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">summarized<\/a> her views this way:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMs. Rodham endorsed Mr. Alinsky\u2019s central critique of government antipoverty programs \u2014 that they tended to be too top-down and removed from the wishes of individuals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the student leader split with Mr. Alinsky over a central point. He vowed to \u2018rub raw the sores of discontent\u2019 and compel action through agitation. This, she believed, ran counter to the notion of change within the system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clinton herself addressed her reactions to Alinsky in her 2003 memoir <em>Living History<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlinsky was a colorful and controversial figure who managed to offend almost everyone during his long career. His prescription for social change required grassroots organizing that taught people to help themselves by confronting government and corporations to obtain the resources and power to improve their lives. I agreed with some of Alinsky\u2019s ideas, particularly the value of empowering people to help themselves. But we had a fundamental disagreement. He believed you could change the system only from the outside. I didn\u2019t. Later, he offered me the chance to work with him when I graduated from college, and he was disappointed that I decided instead to go to law school.
