Who says the left and right can’t get a long? Some of us noticed
\na long time ago that there is a common agenda that would make
\nan excellent foundation for a new political party that could end the
\nfalse left\/right paradigm and oligarchic duopoly dominating
\nAmerican politics today. https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=32281<\/a><\/p>\n

It looks like former Governor Ed Rendell might have noticed that as
\nwell and did the (almost) unthinkable: said something positive
\nabout Donald Trump!

Perhaps the DNC Host Chairman is angling for a position in the new
\nTrump Administration. Or just maybe he is addicted to the truth and
\nto promoting what’s best for America rather than narrow partisanship.<\/p>\n

However you describe it, his comments were a refreshing turn after
\nthe endless negative remarks by Hillary and Bernie about how
\ndangerous a Trump presidency might be.<\/p>\n

On that and many other matters, there is much room for cooperation\u00a0between the two parties which means The Donald as Prez might not\u00a0be that scary after all.<\/p>\n

In fact, a bipartisan group of Congressmen is demonstrating that
\nright now as they propose to constrain the excesses of government
\nsurveillance: http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/onpolitics\/2016\/07\/13\/new-house-coalition-fights-rise-government-surveillance\/87038428\/<\/a><\/p>\n

Rendell might be seeing the writing on the wall regarding Hillary’s
\nfate after the Comey\/Lynch fiasco over her e-mail. Be that as it
\nmay, the race for the White House remains very contentious and
\nwould benefit from the kind of constructive comments Mr. Rendell
