House Oversight &amp; Government Reform Committee on Thursday, FBI Director James Comey explained that if a member of the FBI had handled classified information in the manner Hillary Clinton had on her private email servers, there would be a number of consequences.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HZo2M1LpKHQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you really believe there should be no consequence for Hillary Clinton and how she dealt with this,\u201d Chairman of the Oversight Committee\u00a0Jason Chaffetz asked the FBI Director.<\/p>\n<p>Comey responded, \u201cI hope folks remember what I said on Tuesday, I didn\u2019t say there\u2019s no consequence for someone who violates the rules regarding the handling of classified information.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cThere are often very severe consequences in the FBI involving their employment, their pay, their clearances,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>said Comey, who was responsible for recommending that no charges be placed against Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton for her mishandling of classified information. \u201cI Hope folks walk away understanding that just because someone\u2019s not prosecuted for mishandling classified information,\u00a0that doesn\u2019t mean if you work in the FBI there aren\u2019t consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chairman\u00a0Chaffetz then went on to ask the FBI director what the consequences would be for Clinton if she had been in the FBI and carelessly handled classified information as she did as Secretary of State.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cThere would be a security review\u00a0and an adjudication\u00a0of their suitability and a range of discipline could be imposed from termination\u00a0to reprimand, and in between suspension, loss of clearance,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Said Comey. <strong><em>\u201cSo you could be walked out or, depending on the nature of the facts, you could be reprimanded but there is a robust process to handle that.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cWe\u2019re mystified,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Chaffetz insisted during the hearing.<em><strong> \u201cIt seems that there are two standards, and there\u2019s no consequence for these types of activities and dealing in a careless way with classified information.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>According to FBI Director Comey, there was not enough\u00a0clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information.<\/p>\n<p>Attorney General Loretta Lynch accepted Comey&#8217;s recommendation late yesterday\u00a0and the case against Clinton has closed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the past, there has been numerous cases of government officials,\u00a0contractors, and military personnel <a href=\"http:\/\/www.libertyviral.com\/5-people-who-mishandled-classified-information-like-hillary-but-were-prosecuted\/#axzz4Djs6EK3s\">receiving punishment for the\u00a0same treatment of classified information<\/a> that Hillary Clinton engaged in during her time as Secretary of State.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The decision to not punish Clinton has left many Americans wondering what type of precedent this sets for the future of the handling of\u00a0classified information and also\u00a0<strong>why Hillary Clinton is above the law.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\"
