Project \u201cStar Gate\u201d in particular lasted for 25 years before it was unexpectedly shut down.(1)<\/a>(2)<\/a>(3)<\/a>\u00a0 Much of the material and research from the program still remain classified. \u201cStar Gate\u201d incorporated(s) consciousness, paranormal phenomena, ESP, remote viewing, and more for intelligence collection and research.(1)<\/a>(2)<\/a>(3)<\/a>\u00a0How can the Department of Defense \u00a0have programs that study these phenomena for over 35 years when our mainstream world still doesn\u2019t consider it real enough to study? \u00a0I find the name \u201cStar Gate\u201d intriguing and wonder what inspiration lay behind the name chosen by those who initiated the program. \u00a0It\u2019s unfortunate that these concepts are not studied by major universities and our mainstream world, the significance of these realities can be far reaching. Having major educational institutions governing what type of \u201cknowledge\u201d is useful for learning isn\u2019t fair. It\u2019s simply a stepping stone for people to integrate themselves into a system that no longer resonates with the majority on the planet. As a result, extended human capacities, which are completely natural and lay dormant within all of us, remain unused, undiscovered, and not provided the opportunity to grow.<\/p>\n Star Gate was declassified in September of 1995, and the final report was released to the public which concluded that \u201ca statistically significant effect had been demonstrated in the laboratory,\u201d but that there is compelling evidence that the CIA set the outcome with regard to intelligence usage before the evaluation had begun. This was accomplished by limiting the research and operating data sets to exude positive findings, by purposefully not interviewing historically significant participants, by ignoring previous DOD extensive program reviews, and by using the questionable National Research Council\u2019s investigation of parapsychology as the starting point for their review.(1)(3)<\/strong><\/p>\n Although a statistically significant effect had been demonstrated in the lab, it was shut down because it remained unclear whether the existence of paranormal phenomenon, remote viewing, and more had been demonstrated phenomenon, because the origins and nature of the phenomenon remained unclear, assuming it exists, nor does it address an important methodological issue of inter-judge reliability.(1) It was concluded that even if paranormal phenomenon occurs under the conditions present in the setting of a laboratory, (which it did) conditions would still differ outside the lab \u00a0and have limited applicability and utility for intelligence gathering operations in the real world.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>The review was done by a group of experts, one of them being Dr. Jessica Utts, a professor in the Division of Statistics at the University of California, Davis.(1)(3)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n It is concluded that psychic functioning has been well established. The statistical results of the studies examined are far beyond what is expected by chance. Arguments that these results could be due to methodological flaws in the experiments are soundly refuted. Effects of similar magnitude of those found in government experiments have been replicated at a number of laboratories across the world.(1)<\/strong>\u00a0Dr. Utts<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Star Gate, after a 25 year run was shut down due to it\u2019s lack of applicability within the world of intelligence gathering. Most people these days know that the explanations for a previous, extremely classified subject are not always indicative of the truth. Could there have been another reason for the shut down? Did the US government really shut it down? Is there evidence to suggest that it was \u201cshut down\u201d for other reasons?<\/p>\n There is some evidence that suggests \u00a0it was not shut down at all. First of all, these programs are called Special Access Programs, they are extremely classified and extremely secretive, the full extent and findings within these programs are not yet, and never have been known to the main stream world, but truth can\u2019t remain concealed forever. They are so secretive that they do not even have to report to the congress, they are exempt.(4)<\/a>(7) That means there is absolutely no oversight into these programs, no body has any idea about what is going on and who is involved. You can read more about the recent leak by Edward Snowden on the black budget\u00a0here<\/a>, it could be taking in trillions and trillions of dollars each year.<\/p>\n Another significant reason, some might call it definitive proof that the program is still running \u00a0is the \u2018whistle-blowing,\u2019 of Ingo Swann. Ingo was the primary participant in multiple studies conducted by the CIA, NSA, the DOD, alongside researchers at \u00a0Stanford University, on the subject of \u00a0\u201cRemote Viewing.\u201d(1)<\/a>(2)<\/a>(3)<\/a>\u00a0Remote Viewing is the ability of an individual to describe a remote geographical location of up to several hundred thousand kilometers away from their physical location.<\/p>\n The FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) resulted in the government\u2019s recent admission of its two-decade plus involvement in funding highly classified, special access programs in remote viewing and related psi phenomena. First at Stanford Research Institute and then at \u00a0Science Applications International Corporation (SIAC), both supplemented by various in-house government programs.(2)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 H.E. Puthoff<\/p><\/blockquote>\n During the experiments, Ingo was able to successfully remote view the rings around Jupiter before the NASA pioneer 10 made a fly by of the planet.\u00a0All of this is documented in the literature.(2)(1)(3)<\/strong>\u00a0What is not documented is the fact that Ingo Went on to write multiple books sharing is experience within the program. In his experience, he describes intelligence officers coming to get him, blind folding him, transporting him to locations that were underground where he would speak to another man in a suit.(5)<\/a>\u00a0We know that Ingo successfully remote viewed Jupiter (as documented), he claims he also remote viewed the back side of the moon, and that who ever was taking him to these locations and interrogating him were astounded to know that he was able to see what he saw a the back side of the moon. That means they (men in suits) were confirming what he (Ingo) was looking at, and already knew of what he was looking at.(5)<\/strong>\u00a0You can read more about\u00a0Ingo\u2019s findings on the back side of the moon\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Ingo expressed that the reason the program was declassified was so they (DIA) could say it was shut down and didn\u2019t find anything worthy of use within the intelligence community. It was really shutdown and declassified so it could remain secret, and so they could say \u201cit\u2019s been declassified, nothing more to see here.\u201d Ingo expressed that it was highly classified, and that they publicly shut it down because remote viewing and psychic phenomenon is one of the greatest threats to government secrecy.(6)<\/a>\u00a0This seems to me to be a much better explanation of the apparent shut down of the program.<\/p>\n According to our best estimates, more than half of all U.S. government records are classified. For an archivist seeking to preserve and understand our history, that means most of our history is kept secret from us, think about that for a moment \u2013 Richard Dolan<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Human beings are capable of much more than they are currently aware of. Many of these capacities (as illustrated earlier) still remain known, but hidden. Regardless, truth cannot remain concealed forever, it will eventually make it\u2019s way out over time. What is occurring here are natural phenomena, it\u2019s nothing to fear. In our not-too-distant history, exploring concepts such as these was viewed as a heretic act. Fear was used as a form of control, and people were taught to be wary of these concepts and stay away from them as if they were the work of something not so pleasant. The dominant ruler on the planet in these times was the Catholic Church, and it was common for them to ban and forbid knowledge that did not fit the accepted framework, worldview or paradig. Things are changing, and extended human capacities like ESP are beginning to be seen in a new light.<\/p>\n The implications of this are far reaching. From birth we emerge into a world with so much to discover. As children, discovery is the joy of life. That sense of discovery is taken from us at a very early age. We are placed into the educational system very fast and told that \u201cthis\u201d is how the world is and what we need to do to be \u201csuccessful\u201d in it. This immediately shifts our attention away from what is really important, into a framework of a robotic like existence, trapping ourselves into a program and way of life that does not resonate with our souls, and is not in balance with our natural selves. In the mean time, we let our planet suffer, and let others live in conditions that nobody deserves to live in.<\/p>\n We can live in a world that is built upon cooperation, and service to others. Where all needs are met, and \u00a0the enthusiasm of discovery we had when we were children is encouraged and extended. If we did this, the human race would be living in world of more wonder and potential, far beyond the limitations we put on ourselves today. The only barrier that prevents us from getting there is the place at which the human race chooses to operate from. We don\u2019t have the best track record in using our \u2018scientific discoveries\u2019 to benefit the whole. The only way we can continue forward with our exploration beyond this point is if our intention for creation has the entire planet and every living being on it first in their heart. Technological developments must work with nature, not against it. The research included laboratory experiments on both animal and human subjects. The program ended shortly after the Korean War in 1953.\u201d\u00a0It was run under the direction of Dr. Charles Savage of the Naval Medical Research Institute, Bethesda, MD from 1947 \u2013 1953, after which CIA\u2019s Office of Scientific Intelligence continued it under the name Project Bluebird, its first mind control program to:<\/p>\n In 1951, the Agency engaged McGill\u2019s director of psychology, Dr. Donald Hebb, and others to conduct sensory-deprivation experiments on volunteer students. They showed intense isolation disrupts clear thinking enough to make subjects receptive to suggestion. They were also formidable interrogation techniques amounting to torture when forcibly administered.<\/p>\n These early experiments laid the foundation for CIA\u2019s two-stage torture process \u2013 sensory deprivation followed by overload. University of Wisconsin historian Alfred McCoy documented them in his book, \u201cA Question of Torture: CIA Interrogation, from the Cold War to the War on Terror,\u201d calling them \u201cthe first real revolution in the cruel science of pain in more than three centuries.\u201d<\/p>\n CIA developed and codified them in manuals, used extensively in Southeast Asia, Central America, Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo, and at secret black sites globally. McCoy referred to an offshore information extraction mini-gulag during the Cold War and War on Terror. Out of sight, nothing is banned, including physical harshness and psychologically crippling mind control methods that turn human beings into mush.<\/p>\n MK-ULTRA was one of them, even though Gerald Ford\u2019s 1976 Executive Order (EO 11905) \u201cestablish(ed) policies to improve the quality of intelligence needed for national security (and) establish(ed) effective oversight to assure compliance with law in the management and direction of intelligence agencies and departments of the national government.\u201d<\/p>\n The EO prohibited \u201cexperimentation with drugs on human subjects, except with their informed consent, in writing and witnessed by a disinterested party, of each such human subject,\u201d according to guidelines issued by the National Commission. Subsequent Carter and Reagan directives banned all human experimentation. Nonetheless, they continue, in violation of the Nuremberg Code that prohibits:<\/p>\n Conducting human mind control experiments are clearly illegal and unethical. They\u2019re more sophisticated than ever today, and claims that MK-ULTRA experiments were halted in the 1970s were false. Renamed they continue and much more.<\/p>\n Prior examples include:<\/p>\n \u2014 In 1931, Dr. Cornelius Rhoads infected human subjects with cancer cells under the auspices of the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Investigations; Rhoads later conducted radiation exposure experiments on American soldiers and civilian hospital patients;<\/p>\n \u2014 In 1932, the Tuskegee Syphilis Study began on 200 black men; they\u2019re weren\u2019t told of their illness, were denied treatment, and were used as human guinea pigs to follow their disease symptoms and progression; they all subsequently died;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1940, 400 Chicago prisoners were infected with malaria to study the effects of new and experimental drugs;<\/p>\n \u2014 from 1942 \u2013 1945, the US Navy used human subjects (locked in chambers) to test gas masks and clothing;<\/p>\n \u2014 since the 1940s, human radiation experiments were conducted to test its effects and determine how much can kill; unwitting subjects were used in prisons, hospitals, orphanages, and mental institutions, including men, women, children, and the unborn of all races, mostly people from lower socio-economic brackets; in addition, more than 200,000 US soldiers were exposed to above ground nuclear tests; many later became ill and died;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1945, the US Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) implemented \u201cProgram F,\u201d the most exhaustive American study of fluoride\u2019s health effects \u2013 a key component in atomic bomb production and one of the most toxic chemicals known; it causes marked adverse central nervous system effects; in the interest of national security, the information was suppressed;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1945, VA hospital patients became guinea pigs for medical experiments;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1947, the AEC\u2019s Colonel EE Kirkpatrich issued secret document #07075001, stating that the agency will begin administering intravenous doses of radioactive substances to human subjects;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1949, the US Army released biological agents in US cities to study the effects of a real germ warfare attack; tests continued secretly through at least the 1960s in San Francisco, New York, Washington, DC, Panama City and Key West, FL, Minnesota, other midwest locations, along the Pennsylvania turnpike and elsewhere;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1950, the Defense Department (DOD) began open-air testing of nuclear weapons in desert areas, then monitored downwind residents for medical problems and mortality rates;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1951, African-Americans were exposed to potentially fatal stimulants as part of a race-specific fungal weapons test in Virginia;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1953, DOD released zinc cadmium sulfide gas over Winnipeg, Canada, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Fort Wayne, the Monocacy River Valley, MD, and Leesburg, VA \u2013 to determine how efficiently chemical agents can be dispersed;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1953, joint Army-Navy-CIA experiments were conducted in New York and San Francisco, exposing tens of thousands of people to the airborne agents Serratia marcescens and Bacillus glogigii;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1955, the CIA released bacteria from the Army\u2019s Tampa, FL biological warfare arsenal to test its ability to infect human populations;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1956, the US military released mosquitoes infected with Yellow Fever over Savannah, GA and Avon Park, FL to test the health effects on humans;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1965, Homesburg State Prison, Philadelphia prisoners were subjected to dioxin, the highly toxic Agent Orange agent, to study their carcinogenic effects;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1966, the New York subway system was used for a germ warfare experiment;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1969, an apparent nerve agent killed thousands of sheep in Utah;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1970, the Military Review reported that \u201cethnic weapons\u201d development was intensified to be able to target specific ethnic groups thought susceptible to genetic differences and DNA variations;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1976, Americans were warned about an earlier Swine Flu scare, urging everyone to be vaccinated; millions complied, many of whom were harmed; 500 Guillan-Barre Syndrome (GBS \u2013 the deadly nerve disorder) resulted; people died from respiratory failure after severe paralysis, and experts said the vaccine increased the GBS risk level eight-fold;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1985 and 1986, open-air biological agents testing was done in populated areas;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1990, over 1,500 six-month old Los Angeles black and hispanic babies were given an experimental measles vaccine, never informing parents of the potential harm<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1990 and 1991 before deploying to the Persian Gulf, all US troops were inoculated with experimental anthrax and botulinum toxoid vaccines, even though concerns were raised about their adverse long-term effects; over 12,000 died and over 30% became ill from non-combat-related factors in what subsequently was called Gulf War Syndrome, the result of exposure to a variety of toxins;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1994, Senator Jay Rockefeller issued a report revealing that for the past 50 or more years, DOD used hundreds of thousands of US military personnel, exposing them to dangerous substances experimentally; materials included mustard and nerve gas, ionizing radiation, psychochemicals, hallucinogens, and other drugs;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1995, Dr. Garth Nicolson discovered that toxic agents used during the Gulf War were pre-tested on Texas Department of Corrections prisoners;<\/p>\n \u2014 in 1996, DOD admitted that Gulf War troops were exposed to chemical agents; and<\/p>\n \u2014 in 2009, experimental vaccines were again used to inoculate people globally in response to another hyped Swine Flu scare; scattered reports of illnesses and deaths followed.<\/p>\n This writer will interview Ruhullah and Dr. James Randall Noblitt, a licensed psychologist, on The Progressive Radio News Hour (on The Progressive Radio Network), February 18 at 10AM US Central time to discuss MK-ULTRA, Ruhullah\u2019s experience and Noblitt\u2019s work with survivors of extreme abuse and individuals afflicted with identity dissociation. Noblitt is a Professor at the California School of Professional Psychology and Chair of the International Society of Trauma and Dissociation Ritual Abuse\/Mind Control Interest Group.<\/p>\n The program will be archived for later listening.<\/p>\n As an MK-ULTRA victim, Ruhullah\u2019s memory was impaired and somewhat still is because of what she experienced. She explained it as follows.<\/p>\n In the early 1970s, she lived in Boston, MA, was married with a six-year old son, and as a lawyer worked for a prestigious firm, its name she can\u2019t remember. \u201cOne day, two federal agents came to (her) home unannounced,\u201d asking her to be a federal witness against an alleged organized crime figure. For her safety, they explained, she\u2019d be placed in protective custody for a period not exceeding six months. She was asked to leave her family and job immediately, and say nothing to her husband and employer.<\/p>\n She \u201cwas forced to leave (her) home with the agents that day.\u201d She got no choice, and \u201cwas treated more like a prisoner than a witness.\u201d She couldn\u2019t use the phone or communicate with anyone, was transfered frequently, and held in \u201cvery low budget places,\u201d during which time her life \u201cbecame a succession of abuses and exploitations.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cTo this day,\u201d she says, she doesn\u2019t know precisely \u201cwhen or why the government decided to use\u201d her for MK-ULTRA experimentation, \u201cbut one day (she) was a mother, wife, and attorney, then, (later) had no memory of (her) past.\u201d<\/p>\n Having partly recovered it, she recalls \u201cbeing given non-medically necessary electro-shock treatments. This was done to create amnesia (to block her) core personality and replac(e) it with\u201d only need-to-know information.<\/p>\n She remembers \u201cthat the shock treatment given (her) was so severe and often that one day something happened and\u201d she wasn\u2019t returned to her room. She now speaks of \u201can unbelievable long list of horrid exploitations and inhumane abuses\u201d done to her.<\/p>\n In the late 1980s, fragments of her memory returned. She sought information on her case through an FOIA request, but was told no records were found. From 1992 \u2013 1996, no one helped her until a member of B\u2019nai Brith, Stephanie Suleiman, offered to do so but needed a few weeks to complete other work.<\/p>\n When Ruhullah recontacted her, she learned that \u201cthis thirty-two year old mother of two died of a heart attack,\u201d very suspicious given her age.<\/p>\n Ruhullah also explains that federal agents stopped communicating with her. Her experiences were \u201ctotally removed from the public record,\u201d and she went from \u201cbeing a missing person to becoming a person erased.\u201d She\u2019s now divorced and unable to contact her children and former friends. \u201cThe US government does not want (her) story told.\u201d<\/p>\n She adds that the \u201conly way (she) can measure (her) length of time held (is) by her son\u2019s age. (He) was six when (agents) entered (her) home, and he is (now) in his late thirties.\u201d She considers herself to have been continuously separated from her children, grandchildren, family, friends, assets, memories, and educated skills.<\/p>\n She calls each day \u201can experience of being held against (her) will while living in a vat of bureaucratic arrogance which refuses to acknowledge what was done (made worse by stopping (her) from getting (her) life back.\u201d Each day she\u2019s \u201cbeing more injured and having more of (her) life robbed from\u201d her.<\/p>\n She says she \u201cwas not released from custody.\u201d After being used for medical experiments, she was \u201cgiven an implanted false identity, then left penniless and without proof of (her) true identity or lineage.\u201d She still considers herself a prisoner, a body with no persona, with little knowledge of her former self, stripped of everything important in her life.<\/p>\n MK-ULTRA and Ruhullah\u2019s story will be featured on the Progressive Radio News Hour on February 18 at 10AM US Central time on The Progressive Radio Network.
