{"id":38268,"date":"2016-05-17T17:18:48","date_gmt":"2016-05-17T21:18:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=38268"},"modified":"2016-05-17T17:27:49","modified_gmt":"2016-05-17T21:27:49","slug":"the-need-for-true-regime-change-in-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=38268","title":{"rendered":"The Need For True Regime Change In America"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->Rincon Valley, CA<br \/>\nMay 17, 2016<\/p>\n<p>by Rich Scheck<\/p>\n<p>This amazing essay from Michel Chossudovsky at Global Research<br \/>\nshows us clearly the source of our current problems: United States<br \/>\npolicy of military intervention. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalresearch.ca\/regime-change-in-the-u-s-proposal-from-a-concerned-citizen\/5525280\">http:\/\/www.globalresearch.ca\/regime-change-in-the-u-s-proposal-from-a-concerned-citizen\/5525280<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It shows how Bush set in motion Cheney&#8217;s Long War that we remain<br \/>\nmired in 15 years after the 9\/11 attacks.<\/p>\n<p>When we view Obama&#8217;s conduct over the last 7+ years, we see<br \/>\nsomeone who followed through on the same approach.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, it anticipates that all of the current presidential candidates<br \/>\nwill likewise continue American imperialism.<\/p>\n<p>None of them has campaigned aggressively to put a halt to what<br \/>\nwe have been doing for decades, especially since the end of the<br \/>\nCold War.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has paid lip-service to being against military intervention but<br \/>\nhis selection of advisors in conjunction with his plans to make America<br \/>\ngreat again and strengthen the military implicitly undermine his rhetoric.<\/p>\n<p>With folks like Gingrich, Christie, Bolton, Cheney and now Kissinger<br \/>\nadvising him about foreign policy, the bait and switch sell-out of his<br \/>\nloyal supporters will soon follow.<\/p>\n<p>Sanders seems to be antiwar but his public record&#8212;other than that<br \/>\none vote against attacking Iraq&#8212;is not encouraging.<\/p>\n<p>Hillary is the scariest of all three: a hawk who the Neocons are<br \/>\nflocking to because Trump has them frightened he might cut back on<br \/>\ntheir hegemonic activities.<\/p>\n<p>The true anti-war candidates&#8212;Ron Paul, Jesse Ventura, Ralph<br \/>\nNader, Pat Buchanan, Jill Stein, Gary Johnson, Cynthia McKinney&#8212;<br \/>\nare either not running, too old, sidelined by the current chaos or<br \/>\ntoo weak to garner enough support to challenge the status quo.<\/p>\n<p>More wars, economic decline and the implementation of restrictions on<br \/>\nour liberties will naturally follow as a divided and distracted electorate<br \/>\nwatches helplessly their twin party revolts lose out to the billionaire<br \/>\nbacked elites.<\/p>\n<p>The big question left before the conventions: will Bernie back Hillary<br \/>\nor finally distance himself from her? <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/politics\/articles\/2016-05-17\/a-small-group-of-superdelegates-could-close-the-deal-for-hillary-but-won-t\">http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/politics\/articles\/2016-05-17\/a-small-group-of-superdelegates-could-close-the-deal-for-hillary-but-won-t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Hopefully, he will do that even though it is very late in the game<br \/>\nfor our once great Republic.
