In most others, he\u2019s not far behind from the former Secretary of State. In an average of national polls, Bernie Sanders is less\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/elections.huffingtonpost.com\/pollster\/2016-national-democratic-primary\" target=\"_hplink\" data-beacon=\"{&quot;p&quot;:{&quot;mnid&quot;:&quot;entry_text&quot;,&quot;lnid&quot;:&quot;citation&quot;,&quot;mpid&quot;:2}}\">\u00a0than eight points<\/a> from Hillary Clinton, after being over 50 points behind in 2015. In addition, there\u2019s only one person capable of challenging a Republican in 2016 without<a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2015\/09\/hillary-clinton-fbi-emails-2016-213998\" target=\"_hplink\" data-beacon=\"{&quot;p&quot;:{&quot;mnid&quot;:&quot;entry_text&quot;,&quot;lnid&quot;:&quot;citation&quot;,&quot;mpid&quot;:3}}\">James Comey<\/a>\u00a0declaring national security was jeopardized by a private server.<\/p>\n<p>Bernie Sanders is the <em>only <\/em>Democratic candidate capable of winning the White House in 2016. Please name the last person to win the presidency alongside an ongoing FBI investigation, negative favorability ratings, questions about character linked to continual flip-flops, a dubious <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2016\/02\/05\/politics\/hillary-clinton-bill-clinton-paid-speeches\/\" target=\"_hplink\" data-beacon=\"{&quot;p&quot;:{&quot;mnid&quot;:&quot;entry_text&quot;,&quot;lnid&quot;:&quot;citation&quot;,&quot;mpid&quot;:4}}\">money trail of donors<\/a>, and the genuine contempt of the rival political party. In reality, Clinton is a liability to Democrats, and certainly not the person capable of ensuring liberal Supreme Court nominees and President Obama\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n<p>The precious and all-knowing polls already show Bernie Sanders defeating Republicans in a general election and Robert Reich has already explained why Sanders can easily win the presidency. In a Huffington Post <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/robert-reich\/6-responses-to-bernie-skeptics_b_9008636.html\" target=\"_hplink\" data-beacon=\"{&quot;p&quot;:{&quot;mnid&quot;:&quot;entry_text&quot;,&quot;lnid&quot;:&quot;citation&quot;,&quot;mpid&quot;:5}}\">piece<\/a> titled \u201c6 Responses to Bernie Skeptic,\u201d Reich debunks the trusted myth of Clinton supporters and Republicans:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cHe\u2019d never beat Trump or Cruz in a general election.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wrong. According to the latest polls, Bernie is the strongest Democratic candidate in the general election, defeating both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz in hypothetical matchups. (The latest RealClear Politics averages of all polls shows Bernie beating Trump by a larger margin than Hillary beats Trump, and Bernie beating Cruz while Hillary loses to Cruz.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAmerica would never elect a socialist.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>P-l-e-a-s-e.<\/strong> America\u2019s most successful and beloved government programs are social insurance \u2013 Social Security and Medicare. A highway is a shared social expenditure, as is the military and public parks and schools. The problem is we now have excessive socialism for the rich (bailouts of Wall Street, subsidies for Big Ag and Big Pharma, monopolization by cable companies and giant health insurers, giant tax-deductible CEO pay packages) \u2013 all of which Bernie wants to end or prevent.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As Reich points out in his article, America is already a nation of Democratic-Socialists, but many of us (Democrats and Republicans) simply uphold \u201cexcessive socialism for the rich.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bernie Sanders, unlike Clinton, defeats Donald Trump in a landslide of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/pundits-blog\/presidential-campaign\/264023-in-blockbuster-poll-sanders-destroys-trump-by-13\" target=\"_hplink\" data-beacon=\"{&quot;p&quot;:{&quot;mnid&quot;:&quot;entry_text&quot;,&quot;lnid&quot;:&quot;citation&quot;,&quot;mpid&quot;:6}}\"> \u201cepic proportions\u201d<\/a>\u00a0in a general election and is the antithesis of a Republican. If you don\u2019t believe me, then watch my friend Brian Hanley\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/2016election\/2016-election-a-series-of-animated-rap-videos\" target=\"_hplink\" data-beacon=\"{&quot;p&quot;:{&quot;mnid&quot;:&quot;entry_text&quot;,&quot;lnid&quot;:&quot;citation&quot;,&quot;mpid&quot;:7}}\">animated rap videos<\/a> about Bernie Sanders demolishing Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Most importantly, and something the naysayers should learn, is that Bernie Sanders<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/elections\/2016\/02\/17\/usa-today-suffolk-poll-whos-more-electable\/80452560\/\" target=\"_hplink\" data-beacon=\"{&quot;p&quot;:{&quot;mnid&quot;:&quot;entry_text&quot;,&quot;lnid&quot;:&quot;citation&quot;,&quot;mpid&quot;:8}}\">does better<\/a>\u00a0than Clinton against the GOP in a general election.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, American voters don\u2019t trust Hillary Clinton. At what point will critics of Bernie Sanders realize that American voters will never vote for a candidate they don\u2019t trust and don\u2019t like?
