Peterson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/farmwars.info\/?p=14527\"><strong>Farm Wars<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Recent events in Burns, Oregon have shed light on just who is \u201cgrabbing the land.\u201d Government operatives in the midst of the Malheur Wilderness turmoil have planted a false narrative that the BLM is simply trying to protect public lands from ranchers such as the Hammonds, who are trying to grab it for themselves, and supposed \u201cenvironmentalists\u201d are stepping up to support this propaganda.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6-o9pBenBWo?rel=0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>But to understand the real story behind who is actually doing the land grabs, let\u2019s take a little ride on the wayback machine starting with this 2010 press release:<\/h3>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span id=\"ctl00_PageLink\"><a href=\"http:\/\/robbishop.house.gov\/news\/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=203312\" target=\"_blank\">Western Caucus Press Releases (2010)<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"topnewsbar\">\n<div class=\"topnewstext\"><b>Washington, Aug 11, 2010<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"middlecopy\">\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"bodycopy\">Congressman Rob Bishop (UT-01), Chairman of the Congressional Western Caucus, today announced that he recently obtained the preceding <a class=\"ApplyClass\" href=\"http:\/\/robbishop.house.gov\/UploadedFiles\/Treasured_Landscapes_doc.pdf\">14 pages previously missing<\/a>from an internal Department of Interior (DOI) <a href=\"http:\/\/robbishop.house.gov\/WesternCaucus\/News\/Default.aspx?postid=170792\">memo leaked last February.<\/a>\u00a0 The original document obtained in February by Bishop detailed planning within the DOI to use the Antiquities Act to potentially designate up to 13 million acres throughout the West as new national monuments.\u00a0 The newly obtained 14 pages further detail plans within the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to completely overhaul the way federal lands are managed in the U.S., including the creation of new ecosystem areas that require the acquisition of new federal lands. The plans would vastly expand the power, reach and control of federal land managers.<br \/>\n<b><br \/>\n\u201cThese 14 pages are further evidence of this Administration\u2019s efforts, under the guidance of Secretary Salazar, to control western lands by unilaterally locking them up without input from local residents and stakeholders nor the approval of Congress.\u00a0\u00a0 Their plotting behind closed doors is disingenuous at best and flies in the face of this Administration\u2019s so-called \u2018transparency\u2019,\u201d<\/b><i> said Congressman Bishop.<\/i>\u00a0\u00a0<b> \u201cThousands of westerners whose livelihoods depend upon access to our public lands stand to be affected by these decisions and yet this document blatantly goes out of its way to exclude their input or participation.\u00a0 If there was any question about whether or not this Administration has declared a war on the West, these new documents are evidence enough.\u201d<\/b>The BLM is only one of the divisions of the DOI that have compiled similar memos.\u00a0 On February 26, 2010, Congressman Bishop, House Natural Resources Committee Ranking Member Doc Hastings (WA-04) and <a href=\"http:\/\/robbishop.house.gov\/UploadedFiles\/Members_on_022610_letter_to_DOI.pdf\">other Western Caucus Members<\/a>sent a <a href=\"http:\/\/robbishop.house.gov\/UploadedFiles\/WC_monument_letter_to_Salazar_022610.pdf\">letter\u00a0 to DOI Secretary Ken Salazar<\/a> requesting all relative information pertaining to the DOI\u2019s plans to designate new national monuments throughout the West.\u00a0 It has been more than five months since the request was made and the DOI continues to refuse to fully comply with the official document request.<b>\u201cThe reality is that this is NOT the complete set of documents pertaining to the Administration\u2019s plans to overhaul the way public lands are managed in this country.\u00a0 We know that other documents like this are out there. We\u2019ve requested them, but the folks at Interior continue to stonewall,\u201d<\/b> <i>Bishop added.<\/i>\u00a0 \u201c<b>My biggest concern is that if they\u2019re willing to let documents this damning out from their safekeeping, they are surely protecting others that are far worse and even more revealing.\u201d \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b>Page 3, paragraph 6:<\/b> The sentence, \u201cIn order to expand this network of treasured lands to include the diversity of landscapes currently managed by the BLM\u2026,\u201d shows that the\u00a0\u00a0 Administration is working to broaden the jurisdictional scope of lands currently managed by the BLM.<\/p>\n<p><b>Page 5, paragraph 5:<\/b> The sentence, \u201cShould the legislative process not prove fruitful, or if a nationally significant natural or cultural land resource were to come under threat of imminent harm, the BLM would recommend that the Administration consider using the Antiquities Act\u2026,\u201d shows that the Administration is constructing a new management structure without the approval of Congress.<\/p>\n<p><b>Page 6 (b), page 7 (4.), page 8 (3.):<\/b>\u00a0 Details planning for further land acquisition and funding mechanisms.<\/p>\n<p><b>Page 7, paragraph 1; Page 6, paragraph 7:<\/b>\u00a0 By their own numbers, the Administration will target the \u201cacute\u201d problem of private landholdings in BLM administered areas to the sum of 412,675 acres, or more than 370,000 football fields.<\/p>\n<p><b>Page 9, paragraph 5:<\/b> The sentence, \u201cThe BLM recommends that any major funding increases be phased in over a five-year period to allow the BLM time to build capacity in order to accomplish the increased work-load,\u201d shows that the BLM will require an increase in funding to accommodate the proposed expanded management of lands throughout the West.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><b><br \/>\n\u201cI remain committed to forcing Secretary Salazar and all others involved in this matter into the light of full transparency, which as these documents prove, is not a place they seem to be comfortable,\u201d<\/b> <i>Bishop concluded.<\/i> <b>\u201cBut this potential land and power grab needs to exposed, it needs to be laid out before the public, and it needs to be stopped.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><strong>Please take special note of the section highlighted in red:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Page 7, paragraph 1; Page 6, paragraph 7:<\/strong>\u00a0 By their own numbers, the Administration will target the \u201cacute\u201d problem of private landholdings in BLM administered areas to the sum of 412,675 acres, or more than 370,000 football fields.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fast forward to the following, published in 2014:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div id=\"watch-uploader-info\">\u00a0<em><strong class=\"watch-time-text\">Published on May 13, 2014<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div id=\"watch-description-text\" class=\"\">\n<blockquote>\n<p id=\"eow-description\"><em>The newly obtained 14 pages further detail plans within the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to completely overhaul the way federal lands are managed in the U.S., including the creation of new ecosystem areas that require the acquisition of new federal lands. They are the last private property holdouts in an area surrounded by BLM land. The court has declared that the BLM has first right of refusal to buy their land if\/when they decide to sell. This is a polite way of stating that since the government is intent on grabbing the land for Agenda 21, everything will be done to get that accomplished. And when the Hammonds can no longer run their ranch due to unjust imprisonment, restriction to water and loss of grazing rights, no one will be able to buy it or even want to except for, you\u2019ve got it, the BLM.
