VIA\u00a0| Fox News host Andrea Tantaros suggested on Tuesday President Barack Obama had used a \u201craw onion\u201d to produce fake tears for shooting victims during his press conference on gun violence.<\/p>\n

Following Obama\u2019s announcement that he was taking executive action to expand background checks and gun safety measures, the hosts of Outnumbered argued that the president was violating the separation of powers doctrine in the U.S. Constitution.<\/p>\n

But it was the president\u2019s emotional reaction while speaking about gun violence in Chicago that irked host Melissa Francis.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat was really upsetting was the tears that he wiped away again and again,\u201d Francis opined. \u201cYou want that for \u2014 I mean, we feel frighten about what\u2019s going on with ISIS. And he can\u2019t pull that kind of passion for anything about this.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel bad about those kids in [Newtown,] Connecticut,\u201d she added. \u201cYour heart breaks for them. But it\u2019s only about this that he gets so upset about. And never about terror!\u201d<\/p>\n

After a commercial break, Fox News replayed a clip of Obama with tears flowing down his face.<\/p>\n

Tantaros said that she didn\u2019t buy the emotion because \u201che would have spoken out a long time ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is how many years? Almost eight years, he\u2019s almost at the end of his term,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd you haven\u2019t heard him go to Chicago and really speak out about this issue.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I would check that podium for like a raw onion or some No More Tears,\u201d Tantaros quipped. \u201cIt\u2019s not really believable. And the award goes to\u2026 we are in awards season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Co-host Meghan McCain agreed: \u201cIt just didn\u2019t seem horribly authentic. And maybe it is, I don\u2019t know him at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGo to your hometown of Chicago instead of talking about God-fearing Americans when ISIS is coming to their hometown,\u201d McCain advised.<\/p>\n

Francis said that she couldn\u2019t understand how the president could cry for kids in Chicago but not the recent terror attacks in Paris.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey say he\u2019s just cool, that\u2019s the way he is, that he doesn\u2019t get emotional,\u201d she explained. \u201cWe haven\u2019t seen this in a very long time and it\u2019s about something that feels political, that feels somewhat insincere, that feels like it\u2019s not going to make a huge difference.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like bad political theater,\u201d McCain concluded.<\/p>\n
