U.S. President Barack Obama is not just the world\u2019s best gun salesman, he\u2019s also the world\u2019s worst gun control spokesperson.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Despite immediately politicizing every single shooting event in\u00a0recent years by using his bully pulpit to lecture the American public on why citizens must give up their rights to feel safe, his message has fallen on deaf ears. Why?<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mainly because a man who consistently orders drone strikes on women and children all over the world,\u00a0intentionally bombs<\/a>\u00a0a Doctors Without <\/em><\/p>\n

Borders hospital into oblivion, and who launched more shady wars across the globe than George W. Bush, doesn\u2019t exactly hold much credibility as a humanitarian pacifist looking to \u201csave the children.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We learned the above just last month, which makes the latest findings on how Americans view\u00a0gun control consistent with previously observed\u00a0attitudes. Meanwhile, Nick Gillespie over at\u00a0Reason<\/a>\u00a0explains the latest poll results from\u00a0Gallup,\u00a0and \u00a0highlights how Obama continues to force an alternative agenda on the American people:<\/p>\n

The first major action taken by Barack Obama in 2016\u2014a set of new gun-control measures<\/a>\u00a0mandated via executive order\u2014is aimed at a threat that Americans don\u2019t spend a lot of time worrying about.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In its latest survey of Americans, Gallup finds that \u201cdissatisfaction with government,\u201d not guns or even terrorism, tops the list of concerns:<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Obama\u2019s\u00a0new actions<\/a>\u00a0against guns include expanding background checks; changing definitions of mental illness in a way that limits who is able to own guns; increasing the number of federal agents charged with tracking gun sales and crimes; and more.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n

 <\/p>\n

Because violent crime, including gun-related crime and murders, is way down, gun-control issues don\u2019t generally capture the public imagination the way that they would in a world of increasing murder rates.\u00a0In the same Gallup survey that listed \u201cdissatisfaction with government\u201d as the top concern for each of the past two years, \u201cguns\/Gun control\u201d was considered \u201cthe most important problem\u201d by 2 percent of respondents, about the same who listed \u201clack of respect for each other\u201d and pollution.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Yet Obama pushes forward with measures that even he acknowledges \u201cwill save few lives,\u201d almost certainly more out of politics than an interest in dealing with the most serious problems facing the country.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Obama\u2019s willingness to always pivot to issues that are not front and center, along with his willingness to expand the role of the state in virtually every aspect of our lives from health care to mass surveillance is surely a big part of the reason why people are consistently worried more about government than anything else.<\/strong> In this, of course, he\u2019s had plenty of help from Republicans and his fellow Democrats, which also helps to explain\u00a0another Gallup finding released this time last year:\u00a0\u201cIn U.S. New Record 43% Are Independents.\u201d<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Now let\u2019s look at the detailed breakdown from Gallup. It\u2019s not even close, gun control barely registers.<\/p>\n
