Moscow is \u201cbombing the hell out of ISIS\u201d because President Putin wants to prevent terrorism spilling into Russia, said US presidential candidate Donald Trump, criticizing failed US Middle Eastern policies that have already turned Iraq and Libya into a total mess.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is not even a contest!\u201d<\/em> Donald Trump said in response to an NBC News presenter\u2019s question about whether it had been better when Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi were in power.<\/p>\n

\u201cIraq is a disaster\u2026 Libya is not even a country,\u201d<\/em> he explained. \u201cYou can make the case, if you look at Libya, look at what we did there \u2013 it\u2019s a mess. If you look at Saddam Hussein with Iraq, look what we did there \u2013 it’s a mess.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Trump said that Washington is \u201cdestroying our country\u201d<\/em> by wasting too much money on Middle Eastern policies that do not seem to work: \u201cWe have spent $2 trillion in Iraq, probably a trillion in Afghanistan\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
