India\u2019s prime minister has praised an opposition MP who made an impassioned appeal for Britain to pay reparations for 200 years of colonial rule.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Narendra Modi said Shashi Tharoor\u2019s speech at the Oxford Union, which was posted online last week, \u201creflected the feelings of patriotic Indians\u201d and that he said \u201cthe right things at the right place\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
