Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson was the subject of an engrossing profile by GQ\u2019s Jason Zengerle — published in the magazine\u2019s April edition — which offered a glimpse into his background, temperament, and the motivation behind his (potential) presidential bid.<\/p>\n

It’s possible you’ve clicked on this piece, but haven’t actually read it in full — since most of the Internet over the past day or so seems to be stuck right around the story’s very first line.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month: [Joe Biden on Ben Carson comments: \u2018I mean, Jesus. God. Oh, God.\u2019<\/a>]<\/em><\/p>\n

In the opening anecdote, while\u00a0critiquing the president’s\u00a0delivery during the 2015 State of the Union address, one of Carson’s advisers tells him: “He looks good\u2026He looks clean. Shirt’s white. The tie. He looks elegant.”<\/p>\n

Not good enough for Dr. Carson.<\/p>\n

“Like most psychopaths,” Carson reportedly replied. “That’s why they’re successful. That’s the way they look. They all look great.”<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>(Emphasis mine.)<\/p>\n
