\nWe live in a day and time when everything has meaning. Nothing happens by accident. Even if something really does happen by accident, it’s not an accident.<\/p>\n

In the case of the “Blackout on Capitol Hill”<\/strong>, as the headline read today, certainly there is a very real message in this event. Just as there is a very timely message in the second half of the same headline shown below: “Washington Loses Power”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Is there anyone who would not agree that the U.S. Federal Government cannot lose power soon enough. Only when Washington loses most its power will the American people be able to take back their rightful place of power over their government. \u00a0The government always seems to forget that it works for the governed … is paid by the governed … serves at the pleasure of the governed.<\/p>\n

The U.S. Government has evolved into a foreign entity that has outlived its true purpose. Instead it has become a real menace to society. \u00a0Rather than addressing the most urgent threats to civil society, the federal government has served as the genesis of the greatest threats to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”<\/em>. The citizenry now cowers in fear of a tyranny which has taken over the White House, the Congress and the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n

Truly, when Washington, D.C. finally loses power for good, times will be looking up. \u00a0Not only for the American people, but also for nations near and far which have suffered terribly under the heal of Pax Americana<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Washington D.C. was hit with a power outage Tuesday afternoon that affected the White House, Justice Department and State Department, according to a number of social media reports. Backup generators were used to regain power at the White House and United States Capitol Building. “The Department continues to carry out its essential functions throughout the outage,” State Department acting deputy spokesman Jeff Rathke told Newsweek<\/em>.<\/p>\n

An official told the Associated Press<\/a> there was an explosion at a power plant in Maryland. Reuters reported the explosion was not the cause of malicious intent or foul play.<\/p>\n

At least 8,000 people were affected by the outage. Pepco, the local electrical company,\u00a0told the AP<\/a> they are investigating the outage.<\/p>\n

Museums were also affected by the outage:<\/p>\n

A Smithsonian Enterprises employee told Newsweek\u00a0<\/em>they lost power, air conditioning, internet access and phone connections. They were not evacuated. “It looked like a scene from a horror movie,” he said, adding that the lights flickered repeatedly.<\/p>\n

Those in transit were also affected by the outage as train stations relied on backup electricity and traffic lights stopped working<\/a>.<\/p>\n
