Tulsi Gabbard Demands Clinton Retract ‘Defamatory’ Russia Smear<\/h1>\n

Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) on Monday demanded that Hillary Clinton retract\u00a0‘defamatory’ comments<\/strong>\u00a0alleging that the 2020 presidential candidate is a favorite of the Russians, according to\u00a0The Hill<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Your statement is defamatory, and\u00a0we demand that you retract it immediately<\/strong>,” wrote Gabbard’s attorneys in a letter, demanding that Clinton do so both verbally and via Twitter.<\/p>\n

Last month Clinton\u00a0peddled the conspiracy theory<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0that Gabbard is being ‘groomed’ to split the Democratic party as a third party candidate, and that she’s the Kremlin’s top pick in 2020.<\/p>\n

Speaking with former Obama 2008 campaign manager David Plouffe on his podcast, “Campaign HQ with David Plouffe<\/a>,” Clinton said – without mentioning Gabbard\u00a0by name: “I’m not making any predictions but\u00a0I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate<\/strong>. She’s the\u00a0favorite of the Russians<\/strong><\/em><\/u>.”<\/p>\n

Of course, that’s “assuming Jill Stein will give it up – because\u00a0she’s also a Russian asset<\/u>,”\u00a0<\/strong>Clinton continued.<\/p>\n
