revealed by\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearinvestigations.com\/articles\/2019\/10\/30\/whistleblower_exposed_close_to_biden_brennan_dnc_oppo_researcher_120996.html\">RealClearInvestigation<\/a>s<\/em>\u00a0as 33-year-old Eric Ciaramella have been halted, &#8220;and there is no discussion of testimony from a second whistleblower, who supported the first&#8217;s claims.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ciaramella complained that President Trump abused his office when he asked Ukraine to investigate corruption allegations against Joe Biden and his son Hunter, as well as claims related to pro-Clinton election interference and DNC hacking in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, a top National Security Council official who was present on a July 25 phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky testified that he saw\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/political\/nsc-official-morrison-schiff-nothing-illegal-trump-zelensky-call\"><strong>nothing illegal about the conversation<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<aside id=\"my_spring1\"><\/aside>\n<p>&#8220;<strong>I want to be clear, I was not concerned that anything illegal was discussed<\/strong>,&#8221; said the\u00a0<em>Examiner<\/em>&#8216;s source.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>The whistleblower is a career CIA officer with expertise in Ukraine policy<\/strong>\u00a0who served on the White House National Security Council during the Obama administration,\u00a0<strong>when 2020 Democratic presidential candidate<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Joe Biden was &#8220;point man&#8221; for Ukraine<\/strong>, and during the early months of the Trump administration. &#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/no-further-discussion-talks-halt-between-whistleblower-lawyers-and-schiff-staff-amid-expectation-he-wont-testify\"><em>Washington Examiner<\/em><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In other words,\u00a0<strong>House Democrats are about to impeach President Trump over a second-hand whistleblower complaint by a partisan CIA officer, and neither he nor his source will actually testify about it\u00a0<\/strong>(for now&#8230;).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>On Thursday, the House passed a resolution establishing a framework for Trump impeachment proceedings, belatedly granting Republicans the ability to subpoena witnesses, but only if Schiff and fellow Democrats on the Intelligence Committee agree.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Zaid, who along with Andrew Bakaj is an attorney for both the original whistleblower and the second whistleblower, told the\u00a0<i>Washington Examiner<\/i>\u00a0<strong>the legal team was willing to work with lawmakers so long as anonymity is ensured<\/strong>. \u201cWe remain committed to cooperating with any congressional oversight committee&#8217;s requests\u00a0<strong>so long as it properly protects and ensures the anonymity of our clients<\/strong>,\u201d Zaid said.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday,\u00a0<strong>Zaid and Bakaj\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/pinnacle-of-irresponsibility-attorneys-decline-to-confirm-cia-officer-eric-ciaramella-is-whistleblower\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">declined to confirm or deny in a statement<\/a>\u00a0to the\u00a0<i>Washington Examiner<\/i>\u00a0that Eric Ciaramella, 33, a career CIA analyst and former Ukraine director on the NSC<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>was the whistleblower<\/strong>\u00a0after a report by RealClearInvestigations. &#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/no-further-discussion-talks-halt-between-whistleblower-lawyers-and-schiff-staff-amid-expectation-he-wont-testify\"><em>Washington Examiner<\/em><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In September, House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff, who lied about contacts with Ciaramella (and hired two Ciaramella associates as staffers) said that the whistleblower &#8220;would like to speak to our committee.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We have been informed by the whistleblower\u2019s counsel that their client would like to speak to our committee and has requested guidance from the Acting DNI as to how to do so.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2018re in touch with counsel and look forward to the whistleblower\u2019s testimony as soon as this week.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Not only will the GOP-Senators controlling the proceedings be able to subpoena documents and other evidence,\u00a0<strong>they&#8217;ll be able to compel Ciaramella, the Bidens, Chalupa and any other witnesses they desire<\/strong>\u00a0as we head into the 2020 US election.<\/p>\n<p>Nancy Pelosi saw this coming and caved to her party anyway.
