CNN host Chris Cuomo went ballistic over a man calling him \u2018Fredo\u2019, the name of the \u2018weak\u2019 middle brother in \u2018The Godfather\u2019. Cuomo threatened to throw the man down the stairs, arguing it was akin to using the n-word.<\/p>\n
A video has surfaced online showing a man who appears to be CNN prime time host Chris Cuomo in a bitter argument with a bespectacled man who apparently had just called him \u201cFredo.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The footage starts with an agitated Cuomo erupting into an expletive-ridden rant while accusing the man of hurling an ethnic slur at him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n https:\/\/youtu.be\/2NAwowhwi9c<\/p>\n \u201cMy name is Chris Cuomo. I\u2019m an anchor on CNN. Fredo was from The Godfather. He was the weak brother. And they use it as an Italian aspersion. Are any of you Italian? Are you Italian? It\u2019s a f***ing insult to your people. It\u2019s an insult to your f***ing people. It\u2019s like the n-word for us,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Cuomo says.<\/p>\n The other man goes on the defensive, telling Cuomo that he\u00a0\u201cseems to be a much more reasonable guy in person\u201d<\/em>\u00a0than on television. However, that innocuous piece of flattery does little to placate the anchor, who says:\u00a0\u201cIf you want to play, we\u2019ll f***ing play\u201d<\/em>\u00a0and goes on with his rant peppered with profanities.<\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t f***ing insult me like that. You called me Fredo, like I call you \u2018punk b***h,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Cuomo says, insisting that the man deliberately insulted him, despite his protests that he genuinely believed Cuomo\u2019s name was \u2018Fredo\u2019.<\/p>\n That argument only seems to add fuel to the fire, as Cuomo switches to physical threats.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re going to have a f***ing problem. I\u2019ll f***ing ruin your s**t. I\u2019ll f***ing throw you down the stairs like a f***ing punk,\u201d<\/em>Cuomo says.<\/p>\n The footage, which is said to have been taken at an event in New York on Sunday, has been making the rounds on social media, sparking a Twitter moment of its own.
