A top attorney on special counsel Robert Mueller\u2019s team investigating alleged Trump campaign ties to Russia also represented the IT staffer who set up Hillary Clinton\u2019s private email server, a report said.<\/p>\n Aaron Zebley was an attorney for Justin Cooper, the IT aide who set up the private email server and who destroyed Clinton\u2019s old Blackberry phones with a hammer, Fox News\u2019s Tucker Carlson reported on Dec. 7.<\/p>\n Documents obtained by Fox News show that Zebley, as Cooper\u2019s acting attorney, \u201cstonewalled\u201d Senate investigators who wanted to question Cooper regarding Clinton\u2019s mishandling of classified information.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are troubled by [Zebley\u2019s] complete refusal to engage the committee in a discussion about how to further assuage your concerns,\u201d congressional investigators said in a letter to Cooper.<\/p>\n Zebley previously served as Mueller\u2019s chief of staff at the FBI and as a senior counselor in the National Security Division at the Department of Justice.<\/p>\n PJ Media\u2019s Debra Heine noted: \u201cLet this sink in. The same attorney who played a defensive role for Hillary Clinton was tapped by Mueller in June to play an offensive role against Clinton opponent Trump. But\u00a0Aaron Zebley hasn\u2019t been the only questionable hire. Out of a team of 16 lawyers,\u00a0nine of them have donated to Democratic candidates, mostly to the campaigns of Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton.\u00a0None of them seem to have any Republican leanings.\u201d<\/p>\n Another member of Mueller\u2019s team, Jeannie Rhee, was the personal attorney for Obama adviser Ben Rhodes and also represented the Clinton Foundation,\u00a0Fox News\u2019s Laura Ingraham reported\u00a0on Dec. 6.<\/p>\n Other members of the special counsel\u2019s team include Peter Strzok,\u00a0an anti-Trumper who helped exonerate Hillary Clinton, and\u00a0Andrew Weissmann,\u00a0an \u201cunscrupulous prosecutor\u201d who told outgoing acting Attorney General Sally Yates in an email that he was \u201cproud\u201d of her for defying President Donald Trump\u2019s travel ban.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.worldtribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/zebley-300x169.jpg\")
