{"id":123749,"date":"2019-06-08T21:51:59","date_gmt":"2019-06-09T01:51:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=123749"},"modified":"2019-06-08T21:51:59","modified_gmt":"2019-06-09T01:51:59","slug":"another-mueller-deceit-his-bad-guy-was-an-intel-source-for-the-u-s-state-department","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=123749","title":{"rendered":"Another Mueller Deceit: His &#8216;bad guy&#8217; was an intel source for the U.S. State Department"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>MUELLER REPORT LEFT OUT &#8216;GAME-CHANGER&#8217;<\/h1>\n<h3>Put &#8216;sinister&#8217; light on Ukrainian who actually was State Department intel source<\/h3>\n<p><!--more-->WND.com<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_123750\" style=\"width: 604px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/mueller.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-123750\" class=\"size-full wp-image-123750\" src=\"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/mueller.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"594\" height=\"297\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/mueller.jpg 594w, https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/mueller-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 594px) 100vw, 594px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-123750\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Robert Mueller<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Special counsel Robert Mueller left a \u201cgame-changer\u201d out of\u00a0the\u00a0report\u00a0of his investigation into Democrat claims that the 2016 Trump campaign colluded with Russia.<\/p>\n<p>It was a key piece of evidence Mueller had concerning\u00a0a Ukrainian businessman, Konstantin Kilimnik, who worked for Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/opinion\/white-house\/447394-key-figure-that-mueller-report-linked-to-russia-was-a-state-department\">reported investigative journalist John Solomon for The Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mueller reported that Kilimnik had many ties to Russian intelligence, apparently trying to paint him in a negative light.<\/p>\n<p>But what Mueller failed to include in his report was the fact that Kilimnik also was a \u201csensitive\u201d intelligence source for the U.S. State Department who had informed on Ukrainian and Russian matters for many years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGame-changer,\u201d\u00a0said the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitchy.com\/samj-3930\/2019\/06\/07\/game-changer-mueller-excluded-major-detail-about-key-figure-linked-to-russia-intel\/\">Twitter\u00a0news\u00a0aggregator Twitchy.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cA State Dept. informant. Now, why would Mueller have left THIS out?\u201d Twitchy asked. \u201cThe whole thing is beginning to look like one big sham. Pulled on the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Solomon explained that while Mueller\u2019s report tied Kilimnik to Russian intelligence, \u201chundreds of pages of government documents \u2013 which special counsel Robert Mueller possessed since 2018 \u2013 describe Kilimnik as a \u2018sensitive\u2019 intelligence source for the U.S. State Department who informed on Ukrainian and Russian matters.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Key figure that Mueller linked to Russia intel was actually a State Department source <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/eEmun5ldwp\">https:\/\/t.co\/eEmun5ldwp<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; John Solomon (@jsolomonReports) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jsolomonReports\/status\/1136797864766595072?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 7, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Solomon said that the reason Mueller\u2019s team \u201comitted that part of the Kilimnik narrative from its report and related court filings is not known.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the revelation of it comes as the accuracy of Mueller\u2019s Russia conclusions face increased scrutiny.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out that Mueller\u2019s report immediately makes claims about Kilimnik\u2019s ties in Russia and then puts \u201ca sinister light on every contact Kilimnik had with Manafort.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Solomon reported Kilimnik had been working with the State Department as far back, at least, as 2013.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKilimnik was not just any run-of-the-mill source, either,\u201d Solomon said. \u201cHe interacted with the chief political officer at the U.S. Embassy in Kiev, sometimes meeting several times a week to provide information on the Ukraine government. He relayed messages back to Ukraine\u2019s leaders and delivered written reports to U.S. officials via emails that stretched on for thousands of words, the memos show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The FBI knew all of this before the Mueller investigation was finished.<\/p>\n<p>Kilimnik, in fact, was described by U.S. officials as \u201cone of the few reliable insiders the U.S. Embassy had\u201d providing information.<\/p>\n<p>Solomon wrote: \u201cThree sources with direct knowledge of the inner workings of Mueller\u2019s office confirmed to me that the special prosecutor\u2019s team had all of the FBI interviews with State officials, as well as Kilimnik\u2019s intelligence reports to the U.S. Embassy, well before they portrayed him as a Russian sympathizer tied to Moscow intelligence or charged Kilimnik with participating with Manafort in a scheme to obstruct the Russia investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The facts show \u201chow misleading, by omission, the Mueller report\u2019s public portrayal of Kilimnik turns out to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Solomon wrote, \u201cJustice Department and Mueller\u2019s office did not respond to requests for comment. Kilimnik did not respond to an email seeking comment but, in an email last month to The Washington Post, he slammed the Mueller report\u2019s \u2018made-up narrative\u2019 about him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Mueller\u2019s team can cast such a misleading portrayal of Kilimnik, however, it begs the question of what else might be incorrect or omitted in the report,\u201d Solomon said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wnd.com\/2019\/06\/dowd-mueller-report-misleading-public\/\">It\u2019s not the first report to undermine Mueller.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Washington Examiner reported former Trump lawyer John Dowd predicted multiple instances of Mueller misleading the public in his report will be revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Critics of the Mueller investigation long have expressed concerns that it would not be an unbiased\u00a0investigation.
