Hollywood Remembers Peggy Lipton: \u2018A True Angel on Earth\u2019<\/h1>\n

\u201cTwin Peaks<\/a>\u201d and \u201cMod Squad\u201d star\u00a0Peggy Lipton<\/a>\u00a0died Saturday from cancer<\/a>, her daughters Rashida and Kadida Jones announced. Lipton had been diagnosed with colon cancer in 2004.<\/p>\n

Lipton won a Golden Globe and was Emmy-nominated four times for her role as flower child Julie Barnes in \u201cThe Mod Squad,\u201d in which she starred from 1968 to 1973.<\/p>\n

Lipton\u2019s \u201cTwin Peaks<\/a>\u201d co-stars Kyle MacLachlan and\u00a0Madchen Amick<\/a>\u00a0were among those who paid tribute to Lipton\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
