(Natural News<\/a>) Liberty-minded tech startups and independent media publishers have been pleading with President Donald Trump to take on the conservative bias and potential anti-trust violations by the Big Tech giants and he\u2019s finally done it.<\/p>\n During an exclusive interview with\u00a0Breitbart News<\/i><\/a>\u00a0this week, the president accused big tech companies including Twitter, Facebook, and Google of colluding with Democrats to censor his conservative supporters to gain a political advantage.<\/p>\n \u201cActually it\u2019s incredible that I won the election because you know it was so rigged against me,\u201d he said Monday. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t Russians. Russia collusion was a delusion. But what there is, is there was collusion between the Democrats and these tech companies.\u201d<\/p>\n POTUS said that any Republican candidate running in 2020 (and beyond if nothing is done) is going to face a \u201ctremendous disadvantage\u201d on social media thanks to its pervasive nature throughout our culture and society because the tech giants are run by raging Leftists.<\/p>\n He also noted that he surprised those who run the large social media platforms when he handily defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s totally steered, which has been proven now, totally steered toward the Democrats, and yet I won,\u201d he told Breitbart.<\/p>\n The president is spot-on with his assessment. Several studies\u00a0including analyses of social media referral data<\/a>\u00a0prove that conservative, pro-Trump media and voices have suffered from bias in the form of censorship, \u201cshadow\u201d bans, and outright bans.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As\u00a0NewsTarget<\/em>\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0almost a year ago:<\/p>\n \u2026[A] major new study by the Media Research Center provides evidence galore that the social media behemoths are doing all they can to censor and downgrade content which does not promote Alt-Left social, cultural, and political views.<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cWar is being declared on the conservative movement in this space and conservatives are losing \u2014 badly. If the right is silenced, billions of people will be cut off from conservative ideas and conservative media,\u201d said an executive summary of the study.<\/p>\n In the president\u2019s interview, Breitbart editor-in-chief Alex Marlow said he would not only be running against Democrats and the media but also the big tech social media platforms as he gears up for his 2020 reelection.<\/p>\n Oddly, POTUS pointed to a call by a potential Democratic nominee, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), whose campaign recently proposed breaking up the big tech companies because they\u2019ve gotten so big and powerful.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIsn\u2019t it funny? NewsCorps, owned and operated by Rupert Murdoch, called for Google to be broken up in a petition to Australian regulators.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cGoogle enjoys overwhelming market power in both online search and ad tech services,\u201d the petition said, as reported by\u00a0Phys.org<\/i><\/a>. Google is \u201cabusing its dominant position to the detriment of consumers, advertisers and publishers.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n For his part, the president was sympathetic to critics of the big tech platforms who are now pushing to regulate them.<\/p>\n \u201cI understand a lot of people wanting to look into it,\u201d POTUS Trump said. \u201cI mean, normally I\u2019d like to say let it be free, let it all be free, but it\u2019s not free. It\u2019s really run by a small number of people.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump also cited reports from Breitbart that recently exposed conservative bias demonstrated by Facebook, Twitter, and Google.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cNow we\u2019ve seen it, now we\u2019ve caught them. We\u2019ve seen the speeches, we\u2019ve seen the in-house little videos that somehow got released. To men, that\u2019s a very big scandal,\u201d said the president.<\/p>\n The president did not say anything about whether his administration was gearing up to challenge the dominance of the big tech companies, but just the fact that he\u2019s talking about their bias on a national podium will go along way towards educating millions of Americans.<\/p>\n\u2018Google is abusing its dominant position to the detriment of consumers\u2019<\/b><\/h2>\n
