Fox host Tucker Carlson offered his take on CNN filming a surprise FBI raid on Roger Stone\u2019s house, saying the channel has turned into the \u201cPR arm\u201d of Robert Mueller, \u201cthe single most powerful\u201d \u2013 and unelected \u2013 man in the US.<\/p>\n

In his latest monologue, the Fox anchor said it\u2019s crucial to raise some questions before the arrest of Roger Stone \u2013 an associate of Donald Trump \u2013 fades from the headlines. Notably, it was almost entirely devoted to a CNN crew being conveniently present at the early-morning FBI raid on Stone\u2019s Fort Lauderdale house.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow did CNN know about a raid that was supposed to be a secret? Did they learn from [Robert] Mueller\u2019s team?\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Carlson\u00a0asked<\/a>. Shortly after the raid, which Carlson likened to\u00a0\u201ca military assault,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0speculation began to spread that the network had an inside track with the FBI or Mueller\u2019s team.<\/p>\n

Carlson was not the only one to comment on Stone\u2019s arrest, and the way it was executed. The Feds sent more armed men to arrest the 66-year-old unarmed man than it did to kill Bin Laden in 2011, he noted.\u201cCNN acted as the public relations arm of the Mueller investigation, as they have before,\u201d Fox\u2019s political commentator suggested.\u00a0\u201cThe network is no longer covering [Mueller]; they\u2019re working with [Mueller]. And you should know that as you watch it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Mueller, who is leading the Russiagate probe,\u00a0\u201ccan send armed men to your home to roust you from bed at gunpoint just because he feels like it, and there\u2019s nothing you, or anyone else, can do about it,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0said Carlson.<\/p>\n

He branded the FBI special counsel\u00a0\u201cthe single most powerful person in America,\u201d and yet \u201cnobody voted for him\u2026 Nobody in Washington catches the irony in any of this. Mueller himself is the threat to our democracy. The most powerful man, elected by nobody.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The indictment says Stone lied to the House Intelligence Committee about his alleged contacts with WikiLeaks, and tried to convince another person to give false testimony.During Trump\u2019s campaign, Stone boasted about having connections with WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange, but later said it wasn\u2019t a direct link. Instead, he said that he relied on New York radio host Randy Credico (referred to as\u00a0\u201cPerson 2\u201d<\/em>in Thursday\u2019s indictment) as a\u00a0\u201cgo-between.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
