Filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of House Minority Leader\u00a0Nancy Pelosi<\/a>, warned Wednesday that no one has ever won a bet against her mother.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019ll cut your head off, and you won\u2019t even know you\u2019re bleeding. That\u2019s all you need to know about her,\u201d the younger\u00a0Pelosi<\/a>\u00a0told CNN \u201cNew Day\u201d host John Berman, 12 days into a partial government shutdown spurred by President Trump\u2019s demand for $5 billion in border wall funding.<\/p>\n \u201cNo one ever won betting against\u00a0Nancy Pelosi<\/a>. She\u2019s persevered,\u201d\u00a0Ms. Pelosi<\/a>, 48, continued. \u201cYou got to give her credit. No matter what you think of her, you have to give her credit because, think about it, think about all those presidents she\u2019s endured, right? The [George H.W.] Bush, the [George W.] Bush, the [Bill] Clinton. She\u2019s been through it all. So, she\u2019s been around. This is not her first rodeo, as your friend George Bush would say.<\/p>\n \u201cShe knows what she\u2019s doing, and that should make you sleep at night, knowing that somebody in this town knows what they\u2019re doing,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n The older\u00a0Pelosi<\/a>, who is likely to become speaker this week, is heading to the White House along with seven other lawmakers on Wednesday afternoon for a briefing on border security.\u00a0Democrats have promised to pass spending legislation without the wall funding once they retake control of the House on Thursday, but Mr. Trump has vowed to oppose the measure.<\/p>\n The younger\u00a0Pelosi<\/a>, a California-based filmmaker who has directed and produced more than a dozen titles, expressed optimism for the new Democratic majority Congress.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s going to be a beautiful menagerie,\u201d she said, adding, \u201cIt\u2019s going to be a beautiful America.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe should just take one moment to exhale and say, \u2018We should be proud of ourselves because we have a beautiful-looking Congress,\u2019\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019ll cut your head off and you won\u2019t even know you\u2019re bleeding,\u201d filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi says about her mother, likely incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is set to meet with Pres.
