Hypocrisy?<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-line ltr \">Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton made the following statement regarding today\u2019s release of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.judicialwatch.org\/document-archive\/jw-v-doj-fisa-warrant-docs-00245\/\">412 pages\u00a0<\/a>of documents about FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) warrants targeting Carter Page, who had been a Trump campaign adviser:<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-line ltr \">These documents are heavily redacted but seem to confirm the FBI and DOJ misled the courts in withholding the material information that Hillary Clinton\u2019s campaign and the DNC were behind the \u201cintelligence\u201d used to persuade the courts to approve the FISA warrants that targeted the Trump team. The FISA Act permits POTUS to do so, via 50 USC 1802,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/uscode\/text\/50\/1802\">see<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"body-line ltr \">Now Trump entered the GOP primary on June 16, 2015. By August, he was winning primary polls. Here&#8217;s another thing that would have grabbed Obama &amp; Clinton&#8217;s attention:<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-line ltr \">Trump was already winning\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/edition-m.cnn.com\/2015\/08\/19\/politics\/2016-poll-hillary-clinton-joe-biden-bernie-sanders\/?r=https%3A%2F%2Fen.m.wikipedia.org%2F\">presumptive polls\u00a0<\/a>against CLINTON. In August 2015!<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-line ltr \">Stefan Halper was engaged by DOD in September 2015 (h\/t Doug Ross @directorblue ).<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-line ltr \">My working assumption is that Obama\/Lynch&#8217;s first warrantless spying order came soon afterward.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-line ltr \">REMEMBER: these 12-month warrants needed NO FISC approval or oversight.
