Because it’s well known throughout the U.S. Criminal Justice System that a prosecutor can literally fabricate a context whereby a defendant can be manipulated into the appearance a lie, even though he or she truly believes they are telling the truth.\u00a0 This is exactly what happened to General Mike Flynn. See\u00a0FBI Docs Reveal: \u201cFlynn Was Not Lying or Did Not Think He Was Lying\u201d<\/a><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a>Then there is the famous quote by the Chief Judge who was himself indicted for extortion and other crimes, and then kicked off the court.\u00a0 In the famous last phrase of Sol Wachtler:<\/p>\n

“…\u00a0a grand jury would<\/b>\u00a0‘indict a ham sandwich<\/b>‘,
\nif that’s what you wanted.\u201d<\/h2>\n

— Solomon “Sol” Wachtler is an American lawyer and Republican politician from New York. He was Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals from 1985 to 1992. Wachtler’s most famous quote, made shortly after his appointment as Chief Judge, was that district attorneys could get grand juries to “indict a ham sandwich.”<\/p>\n

Mueller et al. know that they can acquire enough evidence on Trump for an indictment in a sit-down interview with him.\u00a0 That’s because they could do the same thing for every American alive today.\u00a0 The justice system is literally set up for the officers of the court to game.\u00a0 They use the structural advantages of “the system” to exploit defendants and suspects alike, all day long across the country.\u00a0 And Trump might even be easier than most to catch\u00a0because he is not known to measure every word before spoken.\u00a0 Prosecutors love that and would have a field day with Trump.<\/p>\n

There are other reasons why Mueller wants Trump in a room with his seasoned investigators which are well beyond the scope of this short analysis.<\/p>\n
