Google CEO Grilled About Hillary Clinton ‘Child Sacrifice’ Videos by Lawmakers<\/h1>\n

Sundar Pichai asked about YouTube’s ‘Frazzledrip’ content during testimony on Capitol Hill<\/em><\/h3>\n

Google CEO Sundar Pichai was grilled by lawmakers before the House Judiciary Committee on Capitol\u00a0Hill\u00a0Tuesday and was quizzed about videos that discuss\u00a0Hillary Clinton\u00a0“sexually abusing and consuming the remains of children, often in satanic rituals,”<\/em>\u00a0on YouTube.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During his testimony,\u00a0Pichai was asked why Google-owned YouTube has videos about\u00a0“Frazzledrip”<\/em>\u00a0– a theory that suggests\u00a0Hillary Clinton and her staff drink the blood of young children during a Satanic ritual and wear masks made of human skin.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0“Frazzledrip”<\/em>\u00a0conspiracy theory alleges that a video exists on the Dark Web of Clinton and her former aide Huma Abedin performing the said ritual, with alleged\u00a0“screenshots”<\/em>\u00a0of the video making their way onto Internet forums.<\/p>\n

YouTube videos about\u00a0“Frazzledrip”<\/em>\u00a0have been viewed millions of times, and during Pichai’s questioning, Democrat Jamie Raskin jumped right in and asked if Pichai knew about the popular underground theory.<\/p>\n

In response, Mr. Pichai said that he was\u00a0“not aware of the specifics about it.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Raskin followed up by claiming that YouTube\u2019s recommendation engine was highlighting videos about conspiracy theories that accuse Hillary Clinton of\u00a0“sexually abusing and consuming the remains of children, often in satanic rituals.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Frazzledrip is related to the Pizzagate conspiracy theory which claims that the\u00a0Clintons<\/a>,\u00a0and other high-level politicians and Hollywood elites, sexually abuse and kill children.<\/p>\n

The Frazzledrip theory started earlier this year after claims surfaced that a snuff video featuring Hillary Clinton exists on the Dark Web.<\/p>\n

Supposed stills from the video show\u00a0“Hillary Clinton”<\/em>\u00a0and her former aide Huma Abedin supposedly lying on a table tennis table after allegedly harvesting the adrenalin glands from a child\u2019s body.<\/p>\n

The theory has been\u00a0“debunked”<\/em>\u00a0by unreliable, left-bias\u00a0“fack-checkers”<\/em>Snopes<\/a>, but has been widely ignored by the more credible fact-checking community.<\/p>\n

Pichai acknowledged that YouTube\u00a0“needs to do better”<\/em>\u00a0in refining the videos suggested to users\u00a0by its\u00a0recommendation engine.<\/p>\n

Google’s bias<\/h3>\n

Mr. Pichai was asked questions about Google’s seemingly left-wing bias in its search engine results.<\/p>\n

In response to accusations from some Republican voices,\u00a0including US President Donald Trump<\/a>, who has previously accused Google of\u00a0“rigging”<\/em>search results with negative news about himself and fellow Republicans, the Google boss asserted to the committee that individual employees are not able to influence the results it shows users.<\/p>\n

Several reports have emerged recently that suggest political bias at Google, including a\u00a0leaked video<\/a>\u00a0in which high-level executives discuss ways\u00a0to\u00a0“correct”<\/em>\u00a0the\u00a0“problem”<\/em>\u00a0of Trump winning the US election over Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n

More recently, a leaked email thread showed\u00a0Google employees seemingly discussing ways to suppress results<\/a>\u00a0from Breitbart, Drudge and The Daily Caller, claiming they are\u00a0“not legitimate news sources”<\/em>\u00a0due to them not being\u00a0“close to our views.”<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cHow many times did you see the Election now card with items from opinion blogs (Breitbart, Daily Caller) elevated next to legitimate news organizations? That\u2019s something that can and should be fixed,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Google engineer Scott Byer wrote.<\/p>\n

Yet, Mr. Pichai contradicted\u00a0the leaked discussions by his staff, telling Congressman Lamar Smith that\u00a0“it is not possible for an individual employee to manipulate our search results.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Pichai didn’t\u00a0divulge whether it would be possible for a team of Google staffers to collaborate\u00a0on a censorship campaign, however.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

In a bid to understand how its search\u00a0algorithms work<\/a>, the Google CEO was asked why images of President Trump appear at the top of Google Images when you search the word\u00a0“idiot.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Speaking about bias accusations later in the hearing, Congressman Ted Lieu said:<\/p>\n

“If you want positive search results, do positive things.<\/em><\/p>\n

“If you don\u2019t want negative search results, don\u2019t do negative things.”\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Scrutinized about its handling of people\u2019s data, Mr. Pichai repeated multiple times that users have the choice over how much data they share and said that 20 million people a day adjust their settings themselves.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s an area we want to do better, as a company that has grown a lot it\u2019s a complicated matter,”<\/em>\u00a0he continued.<\/p>\n
