How crooked is Leon County?<\/h1>\n

Today is the start of early voting in Leon County, Florida.\u00a0\u00a0My wife asked me to mail her absentee ballot on the same day.\u00a0\u00a0I planned to vote early, so as I readied for my trip to the post office, I\u00a0brought my absentee ballot with me to turn it in.<\/p>\n

I tossed both envelopes into the car seat and noticed something unusual.\u00a0\u00a0My wife is\u00a0a registered Democrat, and her envelope was postage-paid with “par avion,” which is French for air mail.\u00a0\u00a0I’m a registered Republican, and my envelope had clear bold-type letters stating that postage needed to be applied.\u00a0\u00a0(See the photo below.)<\/p>\n

Hmmmm.\u00a0\u00a0Why the difference?\u00a0\u00a0Is it a mistake?\u00a0\u00a0Is a random error where some received a free postage-paid envelope, while others didn’t?\u00a0\u00a0Was it intentional?\u00a0\u00a0Did only Democrats receive the postage-paid envelopes, and Republican didn’t?\u00a0\u00a0Did the Florida DNC or the National DNC pay for this service?\u00a0\u00a0Are there other services these organizations paid for?\u00a0\u00a0If so, what are they?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0My wife’s envelope is signed, while mine is not.\u00a0\u00a0Things that make you go hmmmm.<\/p>\n
