The jet can fly higher than the turboprops, gathering data from the upper atmosphere. The perpetrators of weather weapons can be identified when aircraft are seen spraying aerosols into hurricanes where destructive wind speeds increase to near Category 5.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Research published by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ametsoc.org\/ams\/index.cfm\/about-ams\/ams-statements\/statements-of-the-ams-in-force\/inadvertent-weather-modification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">American Meteorological Society<\/a>\u00a0in 2010:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cIn warm moist atmospheres, aerosols often invigorate deep convective clouds, usually resulting in greater electrical activity, stronger damaging winds, and a greater likelihood of flash floods. Studies indicate that aerosols might also modulate the intensity of tornadoes and hurricanes.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In 2015\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.stripes.com\/news\/pacific\/new-hercules-to-take-on-heavy-lifting-across-pacific-in-2017-1.324843\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stars and Strips<\/a>\u00a0reported the USAF has up to 200, C-130J aircraft capable of spray missions that conceivably include weather modification aerosols. Reporting to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, the aircrews crisscross the four-engine turboprop through the eyes of tropical storms and hurricanes, reportedly improving the accuracy of weather prediction models by 20-30%. The G-IV\u2019s data also supplement the critical low altitude research data that are collected by NOAA\u2019s P-3s .<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOAA aircraft in the hangar at the NOAA Aircraft Operations Center in Lakeland, Florida<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe P-3s and G-IV are based at NOAA\u2019s Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.
