Father Gary Thomas, an exorcist for the Diocese of San Jose, California, is \u201cappalled\u201d that a coven of witches is planning to \u201chex\u201d president\u00a0Donald Trump\u2019s choice for the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh, on October 20. But Father Thomas has a plan to \u201ccounter-attack\u201d the hex being put on Kavanaugh.<\/p>\n
The priest will hold two special Masses for the judge \u2013 one tomorrow and one on Saturday \u2013\u00a0when the \u201chexing\u201d will take place at Catland Books, a metaphysical boutique and occult bookshop in Brooklyn, New York.\u00a0<\/a>The\u00a0hexing<\/a>\u00a0ritual will have coffin nails, effigies, and dirt from a graveyard.<\/p>\n Dakota Bracciale,\u00a0the Brooklyn-based witch who is\u00a0organizing the hexing event<\/a>, said the witches see the hex as a radical act of resistance that continues witchcraft\u2019s long history as a refuge and weapon for the \u201coppressed, downtrodden and marginalized.\u201d\u00a0Bracciale is also the witch who organized three hexes against President Donald Trump last year.<\/p>\n \u201cWitchcraft has been used throughout history as a tool and ally for people on the fringes of society who will not ever really get justice through the powers that be,\u201d\u00a0Bracciale told\u00a0The Huffington Post<\/em>.<\/a>\u00a0\u201cSo they have to exact their own justice.\u201d Bracciale added that the ritual is meant to be cathartic for alleged victims of sexual assault. Kavanaugh will apparently be the focal point for the hex, but not the only target.\u00a0The public hex is meant to exact revenge on \u201call rapists and the patriarchy at large which emboldens, rewards and protects them<\/strong>,\u201d a\u00a0Facebook page dedicated to the event states<\/a>. \u2013SHTFPlan<\/em><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The\u00a0National Catholic Register<\/em>\u2018s<\/a>\u00a0Patti Armstrong\u00a0quoted Thomas as saying<\/a>: \u201cThey [people in the satanic world] are more confident that the general public will be more accepting of the demonic.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Armstrong also wrote:\u00a0Father Thomas noted that throughout history, satanic groups have been secretive, but now they are making it public in the name of freedom of religion. When asked about the witches\u2019 hex, Thomas said it\u2019s just evil.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a conjuring of evil \u2013 not about free speech,\u201d he said. \u201cConjuring up personified evil does not fall under free speech. Satanic cults often commit crimes; they murder and sexually abuse everyone in their cult.\u201d\u00a0Patheos<\/em>\u00a0reported that Father Thomas believes<\/a>whoever helps hex Kavanaugh believes in the power of personified evil.<\/p>\n Armstrong further reported that word is traveling quickly about the hex. Those taking a stand against it are urged to pray and fast\u00a0for the protection of Kavanaugh.<\/p>\n
