President Donald Trump called the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh a \u201choax,\u201d saying they were \u201call made-up. It was fabricated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump was asked about Kavanaugh\u2019s Supreme Court confirmation process on the White House driveway by reporters. The president did not hold back while explaining how he thought Democrats had handled the unfounded sexual misconduct allegations against his SCOTUS pick. Trump did not name any of the Kavanaugh accusers by name but attacked their allegations as made-up.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I\u2019ve been hearing that now they\u2019re thinking about impeaching a brilliant jurist \u2014 a man that did nothing wrong, a man that was caught up in a hoax that was set up by the Democrats using the Democrats\u2019 lawyers \u2014 and now they want to impeach him,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n

Trump went on to call all the allegations \u201cfabricated.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s an insult to the American public,\u201d Trump said, \u201cThe things they said about him \u2014 I don\u2019t even think he ever heard of the words. It was all made-up. It was fabricated. And it\u2019s a disgrace. And I think it\u2019s going to really show you something come November 6.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump continued, \u201cWhen you mention impeaching a Justice of the United States Supreme Court who was the top scholar, top student, top intellect, and who did nothing wrong, and there was no corroboration of any kind, and went through seven FBI investigations, had nothing to do with any of this stuff\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Kavanaugh was sworn onto the Supreme Court Saturday afternoon after his successful confirmation vote.<\/p>\n
