Kavanaugh has been accused of attempted rape by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, but has denied that the assault, which allegedly took place in 1982, ever happened.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Sen. Cory Booker wants to \u201cmove onto a new candidate\u201d and does not care whether Kavanaugh is \u201cinnocent or guilty.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TwKpkbPWzh\">pic.twitter.com\/TwKpkbPWzh<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Kyle Morris (@RealKyleMorris) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RealKyleMorris\/status\/1047223422001065985?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 2, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Booker also said the US was facing a\u00a0<em>\u201cmoral moment\u201d \u00a0<\/em>and that Americans should ask themselves:<em>\u00a0\u201cIs this the right person to sit on the highest court in the land for a lifetime appointment?\u201d<\/em>\u00a0But the senator\u2019s seeming indifference to Kavanaugh\u2019s innocence or guilt quickly raised eyebrows online.<\/p>\n<p>Former White House advisor Sebastian Gorka tweeted that Booker had engaged in\u00a0<em>\u201ccharacter assassination\u201d<\/em>\u00a0of Kavanaugh and had no right to suggest that his innocence or guilt was irrelevant.
