A new theory has emerged in the case of whether Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted accuser Christine Blasey Ford roughly 35 years ago; it was Kavanaugh’s high school look-alike, whose high school house better fits Ford’s description, and who kept in touch with the other guy allegedly in the room, Mark Judge.<\/p>\n

The theory was presented Thursday afternoon by Ed Whelan, a\u00a0former clerk to\u00a0USSC Justice Antonin Scalia and currently\u00a0president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC), a conservative think tank.\u00a0Using\u00a0entirely circumstantial evidence which could certainly ruin the life of the man at the center of the new theory,\u00a0Whelan suggests that\u00a0Kavanaugh’s high school doppelg\u00e4nger<\/strong>, Chris Garrett, may have in fact been responsible for Blasey Ford’s recollection of the alleged incident<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Earlier t<\/a>his week, Whelan tweeted\u00a0“By one week from today,\u00a0I expect that Judge Kavanaugh will have been clearly vindicated on this matter<\/strong>. Specifically,\u00a0I expect that compelling evidence will show his categorical denial to be truthful<\/strong>. There will be no cloud over him.”\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
