Chumley &#8211; The Washington Times<\/p>\n<p>Look at what\u2019s going on with Judge\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/brett-kavanaugh\/\">Brett Kavanaugh<\/a>\u2019s confirmation proceedings for the Supreme Court, and the fingerprints of George Soros are all over it.<\/p>\n<p>First there was a report from June in the Daily Caller that\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/07\/15\/demand-justice-george-soros\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found<\/a>\u00a0\u201ca new political advocacy group that vowed to put $5 million behind an effort to stop \u2026\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/brett-kavanaugh\/\">Kavanaugh<\/a>\u2019s confirmation has significant ties to the liberal financier\u201d Soros.<\/p>\n<p>What are those ties?<\/p>\n<p>The group, Demand Justice, established in 2018, gets its money from the Sixteen Thirty Fund \u2014 and the Sixteen Thirty Fund received roughly $2.2 million from the Open Society Policy Center, one of Soros\u2019 outlets, between the years of 2012 and 2016.<\/p>\n<p>And Demand Justice\u2019s entire mission is to advance a progressive agenda through the courts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Our goal is to] sensitize rank-and-file progressives to think of the courts as a venue for their activism and a way to advance the progressive agenda,\u201d DJ\u2019s executive director, Brian Fallon,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/05\/03\/us\/politics\/merrick-garland-judicial-trump.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>\u00a0to The New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s not all.<\/p>\n<p>Debra Katz, the attorney\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmblegal.com\/attorneys-and-staff\/debra-katz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">representing\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/brett-kavanaugh\/\">Kavanaugh<\/a>\u2019s accuser \u2014 Christine Blasey Ford \u2014 is vice chair of the Project on Government Oversight, an organization that has been directly\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/non-profit\/open-society-foundations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">funded<\/a>\u00a0by Soros\u2019 Open Society Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Katz is also a hefty Democratic donor, giving thousands of dollars over the years to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other leftist candidates, as Front Page Mag\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.frontpagemag.com\/point\/271357\/kavanaugh-accusers-lawyer-vice-chair-org-opposing-daniel-greenfield\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Combine that with the reports of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/brett-kavanaugh\/\">Kavanaugh<\/a>\u2019s denial of even being at the party described by Ford, and what\u2019s shaping is a curious \u2014 to say the least \u2014 twist to the nomination hearings. Now,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/brett-kavanaugh\/\">Kavanaugh<\/a>\u2019s due to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee, alongside his accuser, and the vote to move forward his confirmation is postponed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/brett-kavanaugh\/\">Kavanaugh<\/a>\u2019s personal reputation, prior to Ford\u2019s accusation, has been stellar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been friends with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/brett-kavanaugh\/\">Brett Kavanaugh<\/a>\u00a0for over 35 years, and dated him during high school,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2018\/09\/17\/sen-orrin-hatch-says-kavanaugh-denied-being-at-party-described-by-accuser-ford.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>\u00a0Maura Kane, in a statement to the media. \u201cIn every situation where we were together, he was always respectful, kind and thoughtful. The accusations leveled against him in no way represent the decent young man I knew. We remain good friends and I admire him as a husband, father and professional.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another woman who said she dated\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/brett-kavanaugh\/\">Kavanaugh<\/a>\u00a0in college released a similar statement, vouching for his character \u201ccompletely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Democrats dismiss these women\u2019s statements as inconsequential\u00a0\u2014 as meaningless. What they mean is it doesn\u2019t fit their narrative.
