Anna Eshoo<\/a>\u00a0alleging Judge Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were in high school, which eventually made its way to an official submission on Kavanaugh\u2019s record.<\/p>\n<p>Ford spoke to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/investigations\/california-professor-writer-of-confidential-brett-kavanaugh-letter-speaks-out-about-her-allegation-of-sexual-assault\/2018\/09\/16\/46982194-b846-11e8-94eb-3bd52dfe917b_story.html?utm_term=.e227b3ca31de\"><em>The Washington Post\u00a0<\/em><\/a>in an exclusive report about the event in question: more specifically, a summer evening in the 1980s in which Kavanaugh was \u201cstumbling drunk\u201d and assaulted her in a bedroom at a party, she claims.<\/p>\n<p>In an updated statement, Kavanaugh said\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/politics\/live-news\/kavanaugh-sexual-assault-allegation-dle\/h_9a11147dacc2b70151dc0514115f39a1\">at the White House on Monday<\/a>, \u201cThis is a completely false allegation. I have never done anything like what the accuser describes\u2014to her or to anyone. Because this never happened, I had no idea who was making this accusation until she identified herself yesterday. I am willing to talk to the Senate Judiciary Committee in any way the Committee deems appropriate to refute this false allegation, from 36 years ago, and defend my integrity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kavanaugh\u2019s Georgetown Prep classmate,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/heavy.com\/news\/2018\/09\/mark-judge-brett-kavanaugh-classmate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark Judge<\/a>, who is also named in the letter, issued a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/McCormackJohn\/status\/1041441120570552321\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement to the Weekley Standard<\/a>\u00a0after Ford came forward saying, \u201cNow that the anonymous person has been identified and has spoken to the press, I repeat my earlier statement that I have no recollection of any of the events described in today\u2019s Post article or attributed to her letter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The letter was sent to the FBI by Senator Dianne Feinstein, who has since\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/samstein\/status\/1041399096039407616\">released a statement on Ford<\/a>, saying, \u201cI support Mrs. Ford\u2019s decision to share her story, and now that she has, it is in the hands of the FBI to conduct an investigation.\u201d The California Democrat is the ranking member of her party on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Prior to that, an archive of her LinkedIn reveals that she has been a visiting professor at Pepperdine University, a research psychologist for Stanford University\u2019s Department of Psychiatry, and a professor at the Stanford School Of Medicine Collaborative Clinical Psychology Program.<\/p>\n<p>Ford received her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then received a Master\u2019s Degree in psychology at Pepperdine University, followed by a Ph.D. in\u00a0Educational Psychology: Research Design at the University of Southern California. Finally, she received a Master\u2019s in Education from Stanford University.<\/p>\n<p>Ford graduated from Holton-Arms School in 1984. He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ford then said she escaped when Kavanaugh\u2019s friend,<a href=\"http:\/\/heavy.com\/news\/2018\/09\/mark-judge-brett-kavanaugh-classmate\/\">\u00a0Mark Judge<\/a>, jumped on top of them. She locked herself in a bathroom and then ran out of the house.<\/p>\n<p>She said of the event to<em>\u00a0The Washington Post,\u00a0<\/em>\u201cMy biggest fear was, do I look like someone just attacked me? [I thought], I\u2019m not ever telling anyone this. This is nothing, it didn\u2019t happen, and he didn\u2019t rape me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In her letter to Feinstein, Ford wrote that the incident occurred at a home in suburban Maryland at a \u201cgathering\u201d that included her and four others. She said both Kavanaugh and his friend were a year or two older than her:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Kavanaugh physically pushed me into a bedroom as I was headed for a bathroom up a short stair well from the living room. They locked the door and played loud music precluding any successful attempt to yell for help. Kavanaugh was on top of me while laughing with (Judge), who periodically jumped onto Kavanaugh. They both laughed as Kavanaugh tried to disrobe me in their highly inebriated state. With Kavanaugh\u2019s hand over my mouth I feared he may inadvertently kill me. From across the room a very drunken (Judge) said mixed words to Kavanaugh ranging from \u201cgo for it\u201d to \u201cstop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At one point when (Judge) jumped onto the bed the weight on me was substantial. The pile toppled, and the two scrapped with each other. After a few attempts to get away, I was able to take this opportune moment to get up and run across to a hallway bathroom. I locked the bathroom door behind me. Both loudly stumbled down the stair well at which point other persons at the house were talking with them.
