Brett Kavanaugh\u2019s Mother Presided Over Foreclosure Hearing Involving Accuser\u2019s Parents<\/h1>\n

The woman behind the letter accusing Judge\u00a0Brett Kavanaugh<\/strong>\u00a0of sexual assault,\u00a0Christine Blasey Ford<\/strong>, has naturally been herself the subject of much news since her name was made public on Sunday. Among reports coming out, Fox News Channel\u2019s\u00a0Laura Ingraham<\/strong>\u00a0tweeted a story a short time ago that says Ford\u2019s parents were defendants in a case that was presided over by Brett Kavanaugh\u2019s mother, of whom he has spoken at length during confirmation hearings.<\/p>\n

Judge\u00a0Martha G. Kavanaugh<\/strong>\u00a0was the judge for a foreclosure case in 1996 in Maryland, according to the site, which contains mostly embedded tweets from a single Twitter user but also two screenshots from Maryland\u2019s\u00a0case search site<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Those shots outline a case involving Ralph and Paula Blasey, Christine Ford\u2019s parents, that was presided over by Judge Kavanaugh.<\/p>\n

Ingraham tweeted the story on Monday without follow-up. The suggestion of promotion this story, of course, is that recent allegations of sexual misconduct may be some sort of revenge play by Dr. Ford. There is no evidence yet that the past foreclosure\u00a0decision had any impact on allegations, but we can be certain to hear more about it in the coming days.<\/p>\n

UPDATE \u2013\u2013 1:44 pm ET:<\/strong>\u00a0CNN\u2019s\u00a0John King<\/strong>\u00a0briefly covered the news on\u00a0Inside Politics<\/em>\u00a0today, reporting that the case \u201cwas dismissed before the judge had to rule on it\u201d and that the property \u201cis still in the family\u2019s name\u201d:<\/p>\n
